You all should search for some info. This task is still used, until the end of July. I have to say that I'm a bit doubting about this specific essay. True, it shows that children in the present are more helpful than in the past. However, isn't it a bit too focused on the "Social Media" part? It seems more like an essay about "Are Social Medias a good way to comunicate with other people and to deliver informations?". I fear that with an essay structured in this way, ETS may think that I'm going out of topic.
That's correct, the TOEFL Independent Writing Task will be used until July 26. It doesn't matter which argument you pick to support your point: here it's a social media example, but you can use something else if you prefer. The important thing is that you support your opinion.
@@juva Understood^^ Meanwhile, I did this morning my TOEFL IBT. At the moment, I only know about my reading (29) and listening (27). I think that I did well with the writing part, but I'm afraid that I messed up with the speaking part. I tried to do my best and follow your advices, taking notes as you suggested and with your words advices, but there were too many information to say and soo few time to prepare the answer T_T In the agree/disagree I didn't make in time to say my second example, and in the 4° exercise I did not make in time to say the last 3-4 words of my answer. I hoped to do better... I just have to wait and hope that the writing will give me a good evaluation, to balance the speaking vote.
This is the Independent Writing Task which will be used by the TOEFL until July 26. No worries, the Academic Discussion Task which will be used after that is much shorter.
That's a great question! Which one is easier for you depends on your strengths. One of the tasks that will change significantly in the TOEFL is TOEFL Writing which may be easier than IELTS Writing. I hope this helps!
