@@tasfiatabassum3768don’t worry about that, for study related things the chipset is capable enough to last upto a decade, it might become obsolete for gaming by 2027 as apple stops giving update after 5 years but will continue to give security updates till maximum people use it daily. Just use it carefully and take care of battery health

I think ipad 10th gen will be more future proof and the 9th gen is outdated and its processor might lag and since it has 3 gb ram and its camera is not that decent and it's screen is small and i think ios updates will stop by 2025, 2026 and for the 10th gen it can go till 2030 minimum so I personally recommend the 10th gen as long as u don't mind the apple pencil messup it's not that big of a messup as u can either buy a cheap third party pencil with decent features and magnetic and the 10th gen has more vibrant colors so i think that's better ipad 10th gen is alot more decent and the 9th gen might be good for a child who plays a bit less intensive games and just browses the web

Go for 9th gen if its for productivity. Samsung s6 lite for just note taking. I have used both ipad and samsung s6 lite. 9th gen ipad is just too good. But as I'm a student, the spen that comes along from Samsung is just too good.... I use Samsung more than I pad as I takes notes a lot. Plus you get to expand your memory on Samsung as well. But Samsung is definitely not good for gaming and editing.
