Dan. I've often wondered about these exact issues and could never really find anything that answered my questions. This video is great, especially for non-developers. spot on. Thank you!

Wow!! A really great video loaded with valuable content that answered a lot of questions I've been thinking about. I own a physical products business but have 2 great SaaS ideas I've been thinking about for a while, but I'm not a programmer and had no idea how I could go about really building a SaaS company without having the developers hold me hostage or steal everything and launch it themselves. This video really laid out a good strategy. I have a business degree, finance major, and entrepreneurial experience but can't write code and was afraid to even try to launch a SaaS idea. If I ever do launch it, I would want somebody like Dan on the board....he'd be worth his weight in gold and could save a neophyte from so many costly mistakes!

I assume this also applies to product designers. Having a designer work with an outsourced developer can be rather difficult, but I guess you have to do what you have to do to get your MVP out...

Wow what a great video. The way you talk about developer teams is very frustrating for me as I am trying to source a team to help produce my SAAS tool but in the UK it seems so bitty no company seems to be able to offer the full turnkey wireframe to launch service, you seem so advanced over there in the US.
As a marketing expert & business growth consultant I need the handholding and expertise of a company that can take it right through, do you think outsourcing my whole project to a company in the US is a practical solution or would it leave me vulnerable? I am concerned about my IP etc.
I would really value your advice Dan as I believe my tool will help thousands of businesses.

You can always outsource the iniitial prototype to anyone around the world / I have a developer in eastern Europe that finished an MVP for me last week.
As for someone stealing your IP ... just have a simple contractor agreement in place that has a clause on IP ownership, etc ... that'll be fine.
Here's my thoughts on people stealing ideas overall

Dan Martell You can outsource development, but I find outsourcing design much harder. Did you have a designer worker with your outsourced developer?

Was taken hostage many times, said #$#@ it, and learned Rails. No more flaky devs!
