The longer videos are excellent 👍😁 Thank you for showing us.
Cool. More to follow : )
Love watching any videos of the Island. I've been coming there for about 30 years. Used to bring my six children to Lower Hyde in Shanklin. They have all grown up and left home and have children of their own now, and they have been following the family tradition of taking holidays on the Island. I have only stopped off in Ventnor once, when I was feeling quite ill and had to park up to get some air and something to eat and drink (funny diabetic turn). I displayed my disabled badge and ended up with a ticket. All disabled spaces were taken, there were no other parking spaces, so I pulled in where the little kids pool in the shape of the IOW is on the seafront. I had no option but to stop and initially thought I was going to have to call an ambulance. I wasn't there very long, only until I was well enough to move the car. Tried putting all this to the powers that be, but they were not interested. Obviously prefer there to be a person behind the wheel who is feeling ill and could be a danger, than a safe one that pulls over for a short time. Never been back since, which is a shame, as your video's show so many wonderful views that I'd have loved to have seen. Once out of my car, I have to use an electric scooter, so some paths are not suitable, but it looks like a lovely area to visit. Just a shame the parking wardens are rather over zealous. Thank you for the clips. Really cheering me up whilst I am currently housebound.
Thanks for this Steve. Love visiting Steephill. Need to try the fish taco's, and crab pasties.
I like your longer videos. I sit and watch them in the evening through the tv.
More longer videos to follow : )
Thank you I’ve never been to the Isle of Wight
Well worth a visit : )
I would love to see you walk from Cowes along the seafront into Gurnard. I long to see the changes, and wonder if Seaview.. (my Grandparents bungalow) is still there.
I'll add it to the list : )
I call Ventnor "Derbyshire by the sea" because it reminds me of where I grew up so much. It's my favourite town on the island.
Regarding video length, you can't walk very far or show very much in 6 minutes. I suspect the "sweet spot" idea is aimed at those who don't have a long attention span. I think 20, 30 or even 40 minutes is a good length for a walk, depending on how much you edit it down.
Yeah I do like the longer videos. I'll keep posting them : )
Now remember: Always, always, feed the raven first! That’s important…
Consequences follow when I forget!
Excellent video, the walk from Ventnor to Steephill is getting dicey. Are the Ravens the same as the ones who go in Ventnor Park 🤔
Yep, the same pair of Ravens. They nest at Steephill
did i see Steephill Cove?
Did you get a parking ticket off the warden ?
I've had four parking fines since 1995 in Ventnor! I rarely forget...
