Should the reel spin freely like that on a walk behind toro greens mower? I have a Greensmaster Flex 1800, which I use on my back yard putting green. The green is bent grass, I live in Virginia. I backlapped the blade with a backlapping maching I bought but the grass is still getting caught between the bed knife and the blade, thoughts?

Light contact will wear the edge but it is sometimes necessary depending on your machine. Ideally, a 1/1000th” clearance is the most suitable.
How do you adjust one that doesn't have knobs like that but instead two screws on each side?
