I also made 3 birdies for the 40, 4 birdies for the 39, and 5 birdies for the 38. They were definitely Jeckel and Hyde kinds of rounds...
I carry a bottle of good boubon or scotch at all times in my golf bag for rounds such as this lol...and small paper cups..you know when you know when it's time for a nice shot to calm you down a bit etc etc lol lol lol ...
Yep, that’s golf! I do like the fact you both carried on and saw it through! No toys being thrown out the pram! Could be worse, it can always be worse!
I miss night golf. I learned the game on a par 3 with lights. I'd love to see how you fare on our little executive course with your distance. And I wonder if us old guys could stand a chance. You have the distance advantage. We have the knowledge of our greens. I'm a relative newbie here and I've played the course over 800 times in under 3 years. There isn't an inch of these greens I don't know. It may be only 4200 yards, but it's in great shape, has plenty of places to catch you out. Pins that aren't safe to attack. Course knowledge and a dialed in wedge can make a big difference in how low we can get. And our short game range is outside my back door so my wedges are dialed in for sure. Had my best round so far this year earlier this week with a 9 under. 12 is the course record I'm told. And I'd love to know if you, with your distance and game, could break that in just a single attempt. First two holes to start you off are 200 yard par 4's. Eagle ops to start the round make for a fired up round if you can get a good start. If that sounds interesting at all, I'm in Florida next time you cross the pond.

Andy, it's a lot of fun to watch you hit driver and irons, but putting certainly is not your strong suit. I don't know if you don't take putting 5-10 ft putts seriously. It seems you don't take enough time when putting this distance putts.

I used to live one metro stop away from the EGC. I’d play 18 on the Faldo every second Thursday night. Can’t beat floodlit golf in Dubai

Night golf definitely takes getting used to. I used to live in Bahrain 🇧🇭 and it's either play at night or play when it's 120 degrees.
