- Nagaland Tourism and Higher Education Minister and BJP leader Temjen Imna Along cast his vote at a polling station in Alongtaki, Mokokchung. After casting the vote, Along said that every citizen should vote to transform the nation into 'Viksit Bharat' under the leadership of PM Modi. While speaking to ANI, Nagaland minister Temjen Imna Along said, "Today is a very important day for Nagaland and the entire country as the first phase of voting for Lok Sabha elections has started today. Every citizen should vote to make our nation into 'Viksit Bharat' under the leadership of PM Modi. We need to come out and cast our vote in favour of the vision that today's Bharat has for a 'Viksit Bharat'."

Six districts from Nagaland abstained from participating in the Lok Shaba election. And those districts were eastern Nagaland where everything is in pathetic condition. So much inequality. It is a shame to be called as part of India 🇮🇳.
