0:01 I've Been To Glasgow In Scotland In The United Kingdom Twice Between 2015 And 2017 And It Was Super Awesome And It Was Bigger Than Edinburgh Which Is Scotland's Scottish Capital City. Thanks Mate. X
yes, I was a projectionist in The Queens Cinerama in Newcastle. If you want to see it now you can in the cinema museum in Bradford, they have a Cinerama set up
@@peterlogan1623 Wow..I'm so jealous lol ! I have seen 2001 A Space Odyssey in Cinerama ( single strip) around 2005 at the Bradford Pictureville Cinema in the museum...incredible..however never the 3 strip process which they used to have monthly..now it's part of their yearly Wide-screen Weekend..postponed this year as they are having a full museum refurbishment apparently .I salute all projectionists who handled this format and also the heavy 70mm reels etc..
Search here: Merian C Cooper. There's a 50 minutes long documentary and the last third is dedicated to Cinerama with first hand account on what it was like
@@reneastle8447 Indeed it would..but it was too expensive in the end and not commercially viable after studios dropped the format...mind you now we have super screen Cineworld and Isense Odeon..not 90ft wide screens but at least an effort has been made to make an impression :)

How much footage is on one reel?
About an hour’s worth.
Wonder what became of the cinema as Cinerama failed to be sustainable x
What if Cinerama succeeded in being sustainable? That would've made a positive imipact.
