Yeah but actually their rifles G36 are faulty and will be replaced. 416s are more reliable. So i guess most of their products are good but they aren't all godly good either ^^
Guess who's back? Well, we all knew that day will come when Hugo breaks free. I guess my most important fashion item(s) is my Harrington jackets, because I can wear them with Jeans, Chinos and combine them with Casual and formal clothing. Have a great weekend!
I'm an explorer and go for a little more rugged style. 1. proper 100% beaver felt hat. I wear bespoke hats but a Stetson will do just fine. If you live where it's hot a good straw one is mandatory. 2. Harris tweed blazer. 3. Barbour or other proper shooting coat. 4 Saddleback Leather luggage. Absolutely the best. I have the Beast and the Water Bag. I get stopped when carrying them all the time and asked where I got them. 5. 5.11 brand tactical shirts, short and long sleeve. The passport pockets are brilliant. Great for safari, travel, outdoor work, casual days. 6. Bespoke suit. If you can't afford Saville Row, book a holiday in Dubai or Manama and have some made for you while there. Amazing quality. 7. Colonel Littleton tie travel case. It holds a dozen ties and is my standby for world travels when I work and need to wear ties. I've had mine for decades. 8. Leather boot gaiters. I wear shorts in the field constantly and they are indispensable for keeping seeds, 'waitaminute' thorns, creepy crawlies, and rocks out of your boots. 9. A penknife. Something small and sharp. I keep a classic Buck pen knife on me always. It's even legal in Britain. 10. A shemagh. It can be used as a scarf when cold, around your head when hot, as a hanky if nothing else available, and a bandage/tourniquet if necessary. The dang things are just incredibly useful. To me, it is the modern and larger version of the pocket handkerchief. The trick to good style, whatever style it is you like, is to wear it like you live in it. People sometimes stop me and ask me if I am on safari because of my broad hat, safari shirt, shorts, and boots. I tell them "yes, of course I am. 'Safari' is a Kiswahili word that just means 'journey'.. Life is a journey. So we all on safari every day!"
One never travels without a Clark desert boot, a decent watch or two, a sports jacket, or a Lacoste. Ever! Of course, a pair of classic Ray-Ban aviators goes in the inside pocket of the jacket. Definitely do the video on the panic bag, or what we call in my neighborhood a “bug out” bag. Very well done TGV. Hugo needs more episodes so we can keep up with the mayhem in his wake...
LOL! I literally finished ironing 3 of my Lacoste polo shirts before clicking the video. Great summer clothing together with linen pants (I don't like shorts). More dapper than a t-shirt but more casual and comfortable than a long-sleeved shirt. Best wishes, Klaus
One of my fashion go tos are hats. Fedora, Panama, newsboy, bowler, golf, baseball, cowboy. I love them all and very rarely leave the house without one. Workouts/runs are the exceptions.

In the Secret Life of Walter Mitty, after he gets rescued by the fishing boat when he dropped out of the helicopter, he's seen carrying a waxed canvas nautical ditty bag. TGV, Love your videos! You often reference your slender wrists. For reference purposes, would you please tell us the size of your wrist? Mine is 7” and I don’t know if that qualifies as thin or average. Thanks Dave D
I hate to admit it, but I’m kind of invested in Hugo at this point. My most important item would have to be a waxed cotton jacket. Whether it’s my Barbour Beaufort in the fall/winter or my Taylor Stitch Long Haul in the spring/summer, I almost never leave home without a jacket and my go to is waxed cotton for any condition.
Where do you recommend purchasing a turtleneck? I cannot find them. I would definitely include in my top 10 a pair of khaki pants, a quality wallet, Deck shoes,Adidas Stan Smith shoes, the oxford shirt and a couple quality ties.
You make wonderful videos TGV. Your positive and humorous style is very uplifting. Also nice to learn about the history behind the items. Keep up the good work.
Love these content style videos. Plus, I always appreciate how TGV says "do/wear what makes you happy" It's such a positive way to inspire other people
Similar Clobber tastes to myself that I always find myself wearing. 10. Loake Black Leather and Brown Suede Chukka Boots. 9. Polo Shirts, I prefer Fred Perry and more recently Sunspel. 8. I love Barbour Waxed (Currently the Barbour Beacon) and Harris Tweed Jackets, I too can't wait for colder climates just to wear them. I have wanted to check out Private White Jackets for a while, especially their Harington style Jackets, that or the Baracuta G4. 7. Bags are just as important as the clothes you wear, I saw a guy with a nice suit with a grotty Adidas DJ style bag and I gotta say, it completely ruined his look. Palissy Briefcase in Cognac is on my wish list. 6. Not a massive fan of trainers, but when working out or going to the Gym, they are a must. For Jogging I have a pair of old Nike Air Max and for the Gym, ie trainers that are only worn inside the gym I have a pair of Grey Under Armour Mojo. 5. Just like no 8, I have a few Harris Tweed Sports Jackets, A Dark Grey Dunn & Co for Casual wear and a Lighter Grey Tailored one from Hardy Amies in Savile Row for special occasions. I wear them both with Jeans and Brown Shoes. 4. I too have the "Steve Jobs" Roll Neck. They look great with the above mentioned Tweed Jacket. 3. Well fitting dark blue Jeans (Favourite brand Allsaints) 2. Brogue Boots, Just recently got a pair of Dark Brown Crockett & Jones Islay Boots, before that, Loake Bedale in both Brown and Tan. 1. At least 2 Oxford Shirts, Office Blue and Crisp White, apart from being a formal suit component, they look good with jeans with the arms folded up in the summer. (Not a fan of wearing a tie if worn with jeans and these types of shirt have to be tucked in) 0. A watch. Had to put that out there. My dream watch would be a 41mm Silver DateJust, but I'm also realistic in the fact that I would never be able to afford one (Or justify spending that sort of cash). What will Hugo get upto next? Will be tuning in to find out ;)
Is it possible or maybe spend some of your quality time reviewing sinn divers watch probably the UX line. I'm planning to buy a high quality divers that would last not only for diving but for everyday casual use.thanks

For the longest time I didn't wear turtle necks. But recently got some and like them. Make me feel cool like James bond or agent 47 from the hitman games. Especially when putting on a black leather jacket with one. I feel like I can pull off the turtle neck if I'm in the mood to wear one. I think it also helps I've lost a lot of weight so being leaner it's easier to pull off a variety of looks
Many years ago, a mate of mine once said, 'style is more important than fashion. It's not about buying the most expensive fashion item or keeping up with the Joneses, it's about what you feel comfortable." If you want to dress like a dag (you're what you dress), so be it. If you want to be a little more sophisticated and refined and not be fashion oriented, what you wear is your style. Have you ever bought something, and later on saying, "I don't think that this suits me." Style plays a huge factor in our purchasing decisions. Not because someone has something, but something that you want. PS I like polo shirts with a front pocket. I own a pair of Mambo PJs. They are so cool that they look like a military camouflage material. That's style!

Its been a long time since I saw a video of yours, happy to be back
Come on!!!
We need the panic bag video!!!
Also sorry, what brand is the Mechanical Pencil you use? It looks a bigger better, therefore, more dextrous...
Where are RRL jeans and alden 990 shoes? From Korea
Where do you recommend purchasing a turtleneck? I cannot find them. I would definitely include in my top 10 a pair of khaki pants, a quality wallet, Deck shoes,Adidas Stan Smith shoes, the oxford shirt and a couple quality ties.
What are the artists/tracks for the music for the intro of item number 2 and number 1? Great show as always!
Great video TGV , nice to see you including items you like and not what is necessarily perceived as current.
Thank you, I really appreciate that.
Best regards,
TGV
Thanks for the great video and insight into your personal style and consideration for the things you own. I would love to know what car you drive...
You make wonderful videos TGV. Your positive and humorous style is very uplifting. Also nice to learn about the history behind the items. Keep up the good work.
I see a lot of Hannibal Lecter in Hugo. Very chilling.
Silence of the goats
Excellent video, your show makes me happy, thank you TGV!!
Great video! Also a video about your fragrances would be much appreciated.
What model of Clark's boots are those you have? They are very sharp.
Love these content style videos. Plus, I always appreciate how TGV says "do/wear what makes you happy" It's such a positive way to inspire other people
I’m a fan of the Air Max 90’s as well. My mother in law bought me some Air Force 1 trainers for Christmas and they’re great for dressing down.
Thank you James. for sharing, you mother has good taste!
Best regards,
TGV
Your intros are another level! Every single one has unique elements and is beautifully crafted. Great attention to detail! 10/10
3. Well fitting dark blue Jeans (Favourite brand Allsaints)
(Not a fan of wearing a tie if worn with jeans and these types of shirt have to be tucked in)
0. A watch. Had to put that out there. My dream watch would be a 41mm Silver DateJust, but I'm also realistic in the fact that I would never be able to afford one (Or justify spending that sort of cash).
What will Hugo get upto next? Will be tuning in to find out ;)
Brilliant as always TGV! What was the brand of that number 5 bugout bag?
Love the classics, Chukka boots, Harrington Jackets, love a Navy Pea Coat in the winter.
Excellent list TGV, I enjoyed the vid a lot
By the way TGV, may i know which model are thos Clarks Chukkas?
Is it possible or maybe spend some of your quality time reviewing sinn divers watch probably the UX line. I'm planning to buy a high quality divers that would last not only for diving but for everyday casual use.thanks
Interesting video, which i surprisingly enjoyed. This is because am mostly into watches and would expect the Urban Gentry channel to do nothing but watches! However, am warming up to your lifestyle videos, perhaps because I too used to live in London and can relate to some of the items on your top ten. More grease to your elbow!
Air max 95s, 97s, and tailwind 4s are some of my favorite pairs of air maxes
Enjoy your videos always! Hope you can visit japan soon. Would be curious to hear how you rate the shops in japan in terms of items they collect and sell
Loving these videos TGV. I'm curious, have you ever encountered Billingham Bags? They're designed as camera bags, however, I found them to be very well-made and stylish everyday bags. Just curious about your opinion on them.
Honestly can’t believe you wear a boss tracksuit and air max 90’s. I wouldn’t wear a Boss tracksuit if Boss gave me one for free. 🤣
My favorite makes for clothes comfort are Columbia.
Backpacks are Thule .( Sweden)
Jackets Barbour (commando)
Shoes ( hand made crocodile boots ) Thailand
Watch of choice = victorinox professional diver ( silver bracelet version)
Back up watch 007 SKX seiko
Trainers Jordan’s
Track suit = adidas
Very uplifting videos as always, the vibes are awesome. Thanks TGV.
Excellent video TGV! I personally love anything made from Zegna or Loro Piana fabrics. I also have to have my Buly 1803 pocket comb that I love. For summer I’m a jeans and t shirt kind of guy. As always great content!
In the military we call it a Jump bag or bug out bag..with clothes uniforms, Underwear, sock, shoes, boots, hat,
Toiletries, flashlight, sleeping bag.tent
You are the man. Real talk. Coming from fremont California. Irvington district. The bay area! Air maxes over here are the d boy shoes.
I like your air max 90 the green black and gray I have the iron gray with orange highlights you can't get a better trainer Really comfy and they awesome. I loved the video can't wait for the next 👍👍

P.s.That day we met Mattis from CF in London seems like a lifetime away??!?
The Urban Gentry I hope them days will be with us all once again my brother 👍🏻😎🙏🏻
Great list and great taste as usual! CF leather bags are wonderful I love the elegant simple design.
I love your channel sir. I know this is off topic for this article but have you ever reviewed Sector watches ??
