thank you so much for capturing this in such good quality, this was one of the best nights of my life and it's amazing to have this available to relive it
most times im at the gorge i'm all over the place but we like to set up a homebase for illenium, I listened to my throwback recording last year soo many times
I heard it was the wind made it unsafe to set them up, I also heard it was due to lower ticket sales (& the bogo deal + $25 livenation deal). But he also didn't have his live stage, nor did he have crowd scanning lasers, pyro on the roof, or his live show lighting rig - outside of pyro the wind wouldn't affect those I suspect it was budget related, but also he did his red rocks show, edc, and the gorge in under 2 weeks - I expect logistics team were stretched pretty thin
I was honestly surprised, since it was the "finale" of the live show I thought we'd get the ultimate version of it - it felt a lot more like the setup when he took the tour to Europe
@@dark2elite Understandable, but I'm like the dude has sold out multiple football stadiums of people. I would feel like the budget shouldn't affect it THAT much. He also went a half hour past the cut off at 12 on the first night because of the weather delay, and every minute he plays after 12 is a hefty fine. Very well could be budgetary, but I feel like they have to be extra careful with winds because the wind can get extremely violent out there. Lots of those extra FX you had mentioned relies on more trusses and room on the set, which they didn't put them all up. Could have been a safety issue for the people assembling the set with such violent winds, so they might've called off putting up the full set.
@@_LurK Of course, it was an absolute blast. The wind absolutely makes sense to me and what I assumed from the start - because yeah, his budget surely was massive and there's more to it than strictly money. I went to his Red Rocks show and the stage was almost identical to that, though at Red Rocks the floor was also a screen - so it could have just been a remediation plan for the wind
Where is the gorge? I’ve seen it so much for excision live concerts and festivals but i waver knew where it is. How fun was it? Was it worth going? How much was tickets? Sorry for the 21 questions I’ve never been
It's Central Washington state, a few hours east of Seattle. It's one of my favorite places in the world, always worth going. Tickets depend, Illenium was $152 for two days, something like Bass Canyon (3 days) was $310, plus a preparty for $73 Camping per car has multiple tiers, GA is around $150. You can also use free parking / stay elsewhere but it's part of the experience for sure
This was my very first rave. :3 I can now relive it as much as i want! Tysm!!!
Omg thank you, was too f up to remember

@@dark2elite Still had an AMAZING time nonetheless. Just comparing it to last years set, it was a little disappointing.

Love this set. Imo last year was a bit better but it may just be the way they did the lights was more of a show rather than a set.
I want to go backkk :\
saidthesky singing just gave me porter vibes
NO PAPER THIN?

Gorge shows have some of the kindest individuals I’ve ever met. So sad that some schmuck had to go screw up the vibe at beyond :/
