He's really Brian from the past and an alternative universe where he doesn't have fabulous hair.

I am admittedly one of those "super-fans". Watching the movie was a really emotional experience for me... Joe and Gwilym did such a brilliant job as Brian and Deacy. And not to sound too much like a hippy, but I think I honestly felt Freddy's spirit through Rami's performance.

@@emmataub2806 don't you think as a 'super fan' you could figure out multiple inaccuracies in the movie? I mean geez it's like they created their own story for Queen? And the band breakup? I mean wtf! When did that ever happen? And plus they changed dates and messed around with the timeline A LOT! Even the formation of the band was inaccurately portrayed. But I guess the performance by the band members makes this a must watch for a Queen fan. What do you think?
@@sasmitroy5480 Yes, the dates of when songs were released, for example, was one that admittedly irked me. And of course that whole breakup scene. But I think considering this is a movie meant for Hollywood, not a historical documentary, some grace can be allotted. I was more overjoyed that they really nailed the characters of each of the bandmates than anything else. Historical inaccuracies aside, it was a pretty stellar performance on all the actors' parts
I feel like Joe could become John's ninth friend.

Joseph Mazzello, the guy who plays John Deacon

The actor who plays John Deacon played Eugene Sledge in US war series "The Pacific". In real life, one of Eugene Sledge buddys was a marine called John Tatum, also known as "Deacon" for his liking to quote scripture. So "John Deacon" was a mate of "John the Deacon". Coincidence can be fun!
I think Eugene or another marine in that mini series had a dog named Deacon too lol!

What a great interview, quite possibly the best one I’ve seen. I can’t wait to see the movie tonight 😬. I don’t even care if the films been criticised because the critics have slated Queen since day one and it’s never stopped me liking anything they’ve ever done.

cphershon Exactly. In the 40 years I’ve been a fan, they’ve always criticised Queen so I always knew they’d do the same with the film. True to form tho, the actual public, the people who really matter are absolutely loving it 😊. When I watched the film, it was a very satisfying moment when all the critics quotes from back in the day came up on screen totally slating the song. It just summed all the so called experts up perfectly 😂

I laughed when they said bohemian rhapsody wasn’t gonna be the best song in the world. Or it wasn’t ever going to be a song made because of the time limit. I just laughed at them. Because look at how they’ve made an impact on the world. There’s not one person that doesn’t know who queen is. The world knows better than what the critics know. And they’re way outnumbered. 🙃

I'm not surprised Brian May is on email. I'm led to believe that as many as 40% of all platinum-selling artists have adopted it as a medium of communication.
Platinum selling artists simply must be on email these days.

@Thomas Kenny yeah I made that comment before knowing just how active he is on IG. I truly believe he runs it himself now considering the way his blogs and the IG captions are written are entirely the same. And an IG account is literally just type it on the phone and press the post button.
But I still think he's got a manager that advises on him on the dos and do nots on social media (but that's pretty standard PR stuff)
When I first saw the title of this video, I was a bit hesitant if I would/should watch it. I expected some huge Queen fan going all annoying fangirling (fanboying?) over the cast and throwing questions at them we've all heard so many times before. But Damn, I was wrong!!! What a great interview! Really good questions, really calm, but funny vibe. Loved it!

This is one of my favorite BH movie interviews with my two favoites John Deacon and Brian May. The John Reporter comunicated with them so effortestly, I love how John expressed himself about behind the camera that Brian moment about the fingers made me laugh so much and i really really really do hope that Joe gets to talk to John someday.

He did not. Rami Malek tried wearing brown contacts but felt they affected his performance. If you aren't used to contacts, they can make you blink more, make your eyes water, etc.
@@Scriptease123 I knew he had brown eyes. For me, the eyes are a important part for someone to look like someone and I think they could have changed his colour at least on close ups.
Nah it isn't as important for this film, Rami got everything else right and I don'tthink another person would have done Freddie justice.. Now if we were talking Harry Potter, I would say otherwise...but I still like Dan Radcliffe as Harry Potter anyway.

I went to watch bohemian rhapsody last night. It was ok but if you are a big queen fan it's a bit annoying that everything is mixed up in it. I was blown away by the performances though. Omg Joe had john down, he sounded so much like him.

@@beautifulloly yeh but it was just the way they had jumbled the dates from the times they wrote/released their songs. I did enjoy it but the script could have been written better. The acting was first class tho
I think the funniest difference was Roger, Brian, and John (in the film) did not want to join in with Freddie's parties. Fact was they did join in (I met people who went).
