I picked up a Hydroconquest 2 years ago. I "only" paid 900$ second hand so it kinda was a steal. Even for 1700$ brandnew the watch is incredible. You get 80 hours of reserve and basically have the same movement as the omegas. It's a Longines modified ETA. There's no other watch brand in the price segment that gives you that amount of quality for that cheap. They're very much like Tudor when it comes to how bang for the buck they are.
New Spirit and Conquest pieces are fantastic. Right on the cusp of that point on the price/quality curve where you have to drop thousands of dollars more to get any appreciable improvement. They're not luxury, but very premium, and that's what's so cool about them.
The heritage and master collections are finished at a higher level than Tissot or Seiko, generally speaking. Their sub 2.5k USD watches are very hit and miss.
Longines is a fu**ing good brand!! Of course you should buy them!!!!
