What a difference from Sandrock Shelab!
Sandrock: "Oh no, it's 2am again!"

When you catch fish, tap your mouse button rapidly when it’s swimming away and an just hold when not. Pick up the big fossil you dug up and put on scale at the shop for lots of money. Your stamina went down so much cos you where swimming under water. Love the vids 💕

Cooked cactus fruit gives a decent stamina boost. I gather it always and cook it every night before bed . The cooking station can give you ideas on what else is good to eat.
I like the sound of the shop bell when you walk in, a very cute touch
I‘m just watching the vid … I really love the game. Please try to cook every meat, fruit and so on in the campfire - the food will be way more potent afterwards. Though you will need uncooked stuff later, once you have the cooking station
Cooked food, even fruits, gives much better stamina return.
Instead of selling the tree seeds (gum nuts are the gum tree seed)plant them so that you have your tree nursery. planting bush limes will also be a good orchard start. cooked bush limes give twice the stamina as raw. get the grinder and put the shiny stones into it for iirc 3 random ores. Mangroves are the trees with multiple roots.
After you do a quest for somebody on the board, you need to talk to them and tell them you did it or you won't get the reward for it, also that fossil you found, carry it to john's shop and place it on the scale to the right of the door and you will make tons of money from it 😁
Fishing, wait til they bite hard, different pitch, then quick click LMB, while they are swimming away. Hold LMB when they quit struggling and splashing.
Stone grinder is used for making cement and getting gems from shiny stones
I really want to get this game. It is on Steam, but says Windows 7, 8, and 10, I have 11. So I don't know if it will work for me. It does make sense that if you dig up dirt it should go somewhere. Shelab when your stamina gets low you look really tired. I thought I saw an Alligator or crocodile, before you went fishing. I am having fun watching. And learning what to do when I get it. Pick up that large fossil in front of Fletch's tent and drop it on the scales in John's shop for a lot of money.
I’m loving these videos. Just a tip if it hasn’t said already when you accept a job or quest and don’t complete it, it goes bad towards your relationship. Try to remember that when asking about jobs with people you want to move in. I learned that the hard way. Lol
The wheelbarrow means you can move multiple shovels of dirt which makes landscaping much easier
a good way to move lots of dirt might be to buy 9 shovels and have each slot then you can move 9 pieces of dirt at a time, move it to where you want to, say to expand your beach, you can put the dirt by the beach and the ground will be whatever was placed on top of it, so if you place sand on dirt the dirt becomes sand, and vice versa
as a side note. you can use the copper axe to cut the wattle flower bushes, and you usually get 2 seeds back so you can set up farms and orchards of various plants, the basic axe did not give me seeds for the bushes
also fish are actually in the water, you need to place you bobble near them otherwise you are trying to fish nothing.
The wheelbarrow makes moving soil and getting rid of soil so easy and much faster.
Those cactus look like prickly pear, a noxious weed here. Kill on sight!
Also, the trees in the water that look like they're on stilts are mangroves.
The dirt is sparkling at 9:08 I bet there is treasure there
Yay, more Dinkum! I bought the game after your third episode and have played through my first summer. There is a LOT in this game already for having just come into early access. I made the mistake of setting on coast near two rivers which both started spawning crocodiles by day 3… made the hunting license a very early necessity.
This is perfect, croc worth 9k When you trap them ❤️
@@audreycouturier9214 Unless there’s a higher tier trap than the iron one which they can’t break out of trapping them sounds like a pain… I have just been eating the croc meat when I need the big health buff and selling the teeth. Also fenced the edge of the river to control their movement so that I wasn’t constantly being bitten while in a crafting or inventory menu.

@@LadyShelab Hi 👋 i have no clue what happened, and i'm very sure TH-cam isn't going to answer to a lambda user's requests (let's say my confidence in YT teams is currently doing some deep diving ^^). But this is bad, and i truly hope it's some database issue, the thought it could be intentionnal makes me very uncomfortable...

Seems like the fishing is similar to Fable if you have ever played that.
Played Fable 3 but I don't remember the fishing.
to fish, catch the fish let it fight the line, when it stops fighting you reel it in
I saw a trick with the wheelbarrow, Place it down fill up (you can't seem to move it ) then destroy it back into your toolbar and put it back on the ground again, ALL the dirt you put in it will be GONE..Also dig a hole put a banana or fruit or tree seed in it fill in the hole, instant tree
Hi Shelab I noticed when you were selling stuff to John that the wattle flowers had the same color background as the limes. Perhaps they're edible.There are 4 color backgrounds.
it is a proper fishing metric ... you drop hook near fish ... wait for them to take the bait ... they run you let them tire some and then reel when they stop ... they run ... you wait .. they stop you reel ... it is proper fishing ...
Any item you can carry you can put on the scale in John's store and get paid. At least I have seen Boomer do that with a bee hive and something else.
You need a visiting person to buy seeds for farming *or* you need to bury fruit to grow.
I think you can build the museum and put the town in depth. Your house needs to be payed up front though.
The jungle area would really lend itself to be turned into some kind of terraced garden. Would avoid a whole bunch of digging.
for cactus you need to bury cactus flesh and for regular non tree farming you will need eqipment from someone who hasnt visited yet people will visit a day then be gone then someone else will come they will keep rotating at random
Can you make stairs? That would make pathing more natural.

From what I heard elsewhere, it was wise of you to not sell the special items. Those with a green background on the icon. They will be needed, and you can't easily farm them.
Also, I'm pretty sure you can "dismantle" the bones on the ground with your axe or pickaxe. Should be easier than the shovel.

So... I noticed that the cactuses only seem to grow on the lighter tan soil, but you buried the fruits in the darker med. brown soil and didn't get a plant sprout like with the bananas. IDK if it makes a difference, the extent of my knowledge for this game comes from your vids.
