Maryland State Legislature (1/26/2022): Dr. Jeanna Matthews Testimony (IEEE-USA AI Policy Committee)

Dr. Jeanna Mathews, Professor of Computer Science at Clarkson University and Vice-Chair of the IEEE-USA AI Policy Committee, testified Jan. 26 as an expert in computer data privacy before the Maryland State Legislature. Maryland is considering a data privacy law similar to the California Consumer Privacy Notice.
Dr. Mathew's comments highlighted the dangers of unregulated personal data and the need for governments to protect individuals' rights to their data and identities.
