When I was younger I used to be bullied for being fat and now I’m healthier. When I was younger I used to be bullied because of my long, brown curly hair and now it is my charm. In high school I was bullied for always doing what was right and now I have a life that I am proud of. Throughout my school life I was bullied that I was not smart enough to achieve anything and now I am doing my Masters degree in a career I am proud of. Being 26 years old now. I have so many things to tell younger self. That you will travel the world, find love, get married and have a life that you are proud of. Things get better. This song really cuts deep for me. Because though I have suffered emotionally, mentally through out my life. I feel like I am the one that came out conquer. Thank you Jamie for writing a song that penetrates my heart and soul. Thank you for connecting with someone like me.
