    Inspired by Supercars, the Megatron Segway GT2 Superscooter hits a top speed of 43.5 mph in 3.9 seconds. Ride at furious speed with excellent stability and off-road capability. Take your ride to the next level and experience performance like no other.

    6000W Two-Wheel-Drive Air Cooled Hub Motor
    Two-hub motor generates a 3000W maximum motor power in each, reaching 88Nm peak torque. With this powerful motor, the GT2 reaches an exciting 43.5mph top speed, with an acceleration of 0-30mph in 3.9 seconds.
    1512Wh High-Performance Battery
    Segway engineered a 1512Wh, high-performance battery with a Heat Flux Multi-Layer Cooling System, keeping the heat balanced in even the most extreme driving conditions.
    SDTC
    Segway engineered the unique Segway Dynamic Traction Control System (SDTC) to ensure you remain in control on gravel or a slippery road, providing better handling at high speeds.
    Boost Mode
    Leave the world behind with Boost Mode. Boost Mode activates overpower, shooting you ahead in seconds.
    Front Double Wishbone Suspension
    GT series includes a supercar-level, front double-wishbone suspension structure, ensuring the suspension is stable and handles well.
    Rear Trailing Arm Suspension
    The rear trailing arm suspension structure is built like a high-end motorcycle, providing agile suspension and a comfortable drive.
    Hydraulic Shocks
    The GT series is equipped with front & rear 15-level damping adjustable hydraulic shocks. These can be personalized based on the driving conditions. Whether on a smooth asphalt road or off-roading, your GT2 is always in a perfect state.
    Hydraulic Disc Brake
    Powerful breaking strength is ensured in the most furious driving conditions. The GT series has 0.8-inch front & rear dual-pistons, a 5.5-inch diameter hydraulic disc brake, and a 0.1-inch perforated brake pad.
    Self-Sealing Tires
    GT series provides 11-inch by 3.6-inch tubeless tires with a unique self-sealing function, providing an ultimate road-gripping capacity. With these innovative tires, the risk of punctures is low, regardless of road conditions.
    Aluminum Alloy Frame
    To ensure the best body durability in extreme conditions, the GT series is equipped with an aircraft-grade, lightweight aluminum alloy frame.
    PM-OLED Transparent Display
    The GT2 boasts the world's first transparent PM OLED display, showing Speed, Motor Power, Battery Life, Range, Drive Mode, Lighting, and STDC. While in Boost Mode, an Energy Reserve Bar is displayed.
    900 Lumens LED Light
    The GT series includes a 900 lumens LED headlight, LED daylight, and a front & rear turn light.
    Ambient Lights
    The GT series includes optional rear ambient lights with 11 light mode options that can be chosen from the Segway app.
    Twin-Charging Technology
    To speed up the charging time, the GT2 contains two chargers, allowing for simultaneous charging or separate chargers in different areas.
    Double Safety Quick-Folding Structure
    The GT2 includes a safe, solid folding rod, allowing the scooter to be quickly and easily folded down and stored in a narrow space.
    PS: I'm reviewing the North America Variant, not the GT2P for Europe.
    Firmware deployed for this variant (Transformers Edtion) is still on a testing phase before Summer Rollout.
    Same, the app is the new revamped one, enabling functionalities like speed limits for different modes is the new firmware if detected.

      Indeed, got both of them too, hard to get off the G30 Max between customization (firmware hack), spare parts, it's the GOAT of all time for sure. Yeah P100S is an awesome one too, love it, and many cool features. However GT2 is a step above. I wish they integrate some P100S good idea in this GT2, but as the GT2 went on the market before the P100S, that's explain why. With new firmware, revamp of the app and its new options, clairly it's a great deal. Especially this Limited Edition

      Thanks for the comment. That's exactly what I commented on Segway FB Group dedicated to the Powerstation crowdfunding 👌I was looking to get my hand on one with enough capacity to fully charge it during trips and get a little bit more independant especially with solar panels. Unfortunately the budget is quite consequent, but clearly on the bucket list @segway

    Yeah at first I did not like the fact that it goes into park when u stop. But after I realized why it does, I understood. To prevent going into park when stop, hold the break levers down. And if it happens to go into park, press the power button. When in park mode, pressing the power button, puts u back in the previous mode.

      Enough choice for everyone. However last time I checked the GT Pro is priecer than the GT2
      Many times it was around $2K since the past year while GT Pro during sales is at $2.5K.
      While I'm riding city mostly, and not beach or shore tracks, the "7mph" difference is not really a con in that situation. Plus I got my 50 miles range with the GT2 like the GT Pro put on their spec sheet. GT2 was released/announced early 2022, GT Pro 2023, that's great it brings new addition for the price.. Who know if I'm living in Florida I would take it's successor.

    • @C2F.C
      @C2F.C  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The tires are not meant for sand, more city or sturdy off road like gravels or else. I went close to the beach here, till it's not full sand, like compact and harder sand, it's okay, when it's fully dry/sugar like sand, you'll be stuck.

    • @C2F.C
      @C2F.C  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Megatron got specific cosmetic customization and comes with the Segway BT Speaker accessory + a specific limited and numeroted plate in the box. Not to mention day light is red instead of white.
      All the rest is identical.

    At the end of the day, do you think it's worth the premium? For comparison, for $1,600 on Amazon I can get a Tifgalop scooter with 60V40A battery and 5,600W motors. I am sure the Segway is a great scooter, but is it worth the price? Thanks.

    • @davidajzhang
      @davidajzhang 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What's a Tifgalop, it doesn't even sound like a real brand, and it's not pronounceable. I work at a scooter shop, and we only carry known brands like Segway, Dualtron, VSETT, etc. They are not cheap, but they are better quality. For no-name oem scooters, we would need to provide too much after-sales support as they break easily so they are not profitable.

    • @C2F.C
      @C2F.C  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for the comment and for watching it.
      It's worth it versus the follow-up the brand does with their products, many available spare parts, and yeah, it's pretty expensive versus no name brand but cells, build quality, etc., got a price vs no name brand using the same ODM platform with sometimes not such good Quality Control.
      Don't get me wrong, VS, the volume produced, for sure, some devices will be faulty, but Segway is like the Rolls Royce Scooter when it comes to super scooters like that.
      Now you are riding it at high speed, your life on the line; I might sound silly, but avoid any risk with not renowned 3rd party brands.
      For the battery, depends of quality, bms, power draw and optimizations too. So higher doesn't mean better.

    One of the most comfortable scooters out there. It's just the battery capacity is so incredibly low. I still don't understand how they use such a small battery for such a large scooter. If an aftermarket range extender kit comes out, I'll probably get this scooter.

    • @C2F.C
      @C2F.C  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Incredibly low? Hitting 80kms range with no issue. Huge battery is no need if you got a too high power draw. Optimization is pretty good by Segway.
      For the comfort, on that, for sure 👌

    • @davidajzhang
      @davidajzhang 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@C2F.C Do you actually get 80km? I haven't tested this scooter myself as it's not really good seller at my store. I think one of the main reason is its battery is only half of what other scooters in this price range offers. I have seen others review this scooter though, most people get in the mid to low 40s, which is inline with what a scooter with a 1.5kwh battery should get.
      How do you ride your scooter? Like do you do single or dual? And what is your average speed while moving?
      Honestly, many people make their own range test videos. If you can make one of you going 80km distance, it will be amazing, as no one on TH-cam has done it yet.

      @@davidajzhang 90% city
      Obviously not going at 70km/h in town.
      Dual motors, eco is set at 30km/h, sport at 40, race at 50 km/h
      When traffic jam and road with traffic lights usually I stay on custom eco, so 70% of the time. Long Avenue sports so 20% of the times, and at night, no one on the roads and when I know, around 10%.
      And I'm around 75Kg too. Keeping 50 PSI for the tires.
      With all the times at 28km/h, dual motors, I hit the 90km range.
      I tried single motor when I hit only 15% battery left (miscalculation from my side I forgot to do something and had to do some errands not planned), from 15 to 0 (just dead reaching home) I pull up around 19km range.
      I forgot, recovery and break energy at strong settinga both.
      Exterior temperature around 25/28 degrees. Obviously, with cold temp we got around 5 degrees now, I need to recalculate but I think I'm more around 60/65km range, maybe 70. Same, need to change top speed too vs the road conditions. Thinking about 28/37 and 45km/h speed limits.

    • @davidajzhang
      @davidajzhang 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@C2F.C You really should make a video. Have you tried an app called ReLive? I use it to record my trips sometimes. It's a free app, and makes a nice animated map at the end. The reason why is no TH-camr has gotten a range more than 50km. So you might be the first.
      Also, this scooter is designed for the roads. I live in Canada, and most roads are 60km/h in the city, around 70 - 80km/h in rural areas. So when I ride anything, I try to keep the same speed as cars, so there is minimum relative speed between me and my neighbour, I personally feel the safest this way.

    U know.. I am not sold on the looks of this scooter. I do not find it attractive at all. It is very comfortable thou. My 6 y/o daughter's school is a mile away from the house. So I drop/pick her up on the scooter. It's pretty steady and very comfortable. The downside for me is the battery range in sport/race mode, would be nice if it had more lights, it's a beefy scooter.. very heavy and probably will not fit in most vehicles, the headlight could be brighter, handle bar doesnt fold low enough, and it's pretty ugly in my opinion.
