National Corvette Museum

We toured The National Corvette Museum. If you're a fan of the iconic American sports car, than you're in for a treat. This museum, located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, is dedicated to preserving the history of the Corvette and celebrating the passion of its enthusiasts. From the very first model in 1953 to the modern-day supercars, the National Corvette Museum offers a fascinating journey through the evolution of this iconic car. The museum's exhibits showcase rare and unique Corvettes, including prototypes, one-of-a-kind models, and classic cars that have been carefully restored to their original condition. There is also a special collection of the cars designed by Carl Casper, think the "Batmobile." The National Corvette Museum is also known for a dramatic event that occurred in 2014. A sinkhole suddenly opened in the museum's Skydome area, swallowing eight rare and historic Corvettes, including the 1,500,000th one produced. The sinkhole and its aftermath have become an important part of the National Corvette Museum's story, highlighting the dedication and resilience of the Corvette community. Visitors can view the story of the sinkhole and the impressive restoration work that brought some of the damaged Corvettes back to life.
