    I've just bought one here in France . I've always loved them. Renault were always innovators - Renault 4 and 5 etc.- and this is no exception.

    For goodness sake, please turn off that music which is irritating beyond belief and drowns the reviewer's voice.

    Engine in the back? Show us what's in the front! Why not?

    • @TelegraphCars
      @TelegraphCars  10 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Not much to show in the front. It's crash structure, plus pipe to top-up screenwash. Not very exciting!

    The comment about being unable to use the radio when a cradle is fitted is pointless....just use the steering controls!

      I think it's a valid point made in the review! It may well annoy some drivers so good they pointed it out.

    Good video but the music is too loud.

      When I worked for a dentist In the 1960s they played music as 'white noise ' to distract the patient. This is the same idea now a days - you have to have music to disguise the human voice.

    The ending is in the rear, just like a Hillman Imp of a VW Beetle :-(

    Isn't the Twingo competition to the Smart car?

    What about storage under the bonnet/ hood?

    • @TelegraphCars
      @TelegraphCars  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** No storage under the bonnet of the Twingo (it's mostly crash structure).

      +Telegraph Cars Then why did they put the engine in the trunk?

    Lets be honest, a Renault dealer will be more willing to knock money off the list price than a Volkswagen or Hyundai dealer, not to mention used car buyers as depreciation will be worse.

    But... Will it drift? Ha!
    Can you turn off the ESP?
    Also, it would be interesting if you could show us the engine. Oh and please turn the voice volume up.

    I'm considering to buy one of these or Skoda fabia 1.2 ... the only reason i like this car is the look but im not sure about the practicality as it's only 4 seats comparing to Skoda fabia.. also I'm not sure about the engine been in the back if it will make any difference .
    which one would you commander for a first time buyer .

      Samir Harrou The Twingo is smaller and more fun to drive, the Fabia bigger and more grown up, so it depends what you're looking for. Also, the Fabia is just about to be replaced, so we'd recommend you either wait for the new one or make sure you get a very good discount on the old one.
      Here are reviews of them both:
      Twingo: www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/renault/twingo/
      Fabia: www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/skoda/fabia/
      Good luck!

      don't get either! The Renault will struggle to fit the bill and Skodas are just awful.... Bad badge, bad quality, bad driving experience and underneath they're just Volkswagen Polos. Get a Ford Fiesta

      I've never wanted a VW myself. Everyone is entitled to their own choices and opinions.

      Well I would, in a heartbeat. VAG doesn't cut it for me, save some Seat models for looks and Skoda for it's space (Superb!!). I think VAG cars are boring, clinical even. And they might have some nifty features and overall good buildquality but many are woefully unreliable (1.4 TSI/TFSI in particular) and absolutely boring to drive as well, very costly to maintain and well, boring. Oh, and overpriced and overhyped. And boring. They are like the car equivalent to Apple products (Audi, especially) - good, nothing wrong with it, but booooring. Soulless. Overpriced, overhyped, borderline sheep-mentality owners.
      Renault does make very neat cars, comfortable, good looking (except previous Clio) and even reliable these days. I'd take a Renault diesel over a VAG diesel any day and the Clio over the Polo in particular.
      But hey, neither are bad cars, Renault just has that old image they can't shake, which especially German car drivers still like to mention whenever they can.

      According to a recent survey in UK, VW are unreliable and costly. Renault are much more reliable and cost less to maintain. Check the survey by typing on google the following words "reliability index japanese french top brands"
