Undertale anti-piracy
A showcase of the anti-piracy features of the game named "Undertale".
Unfortunately I don't have the skills to show you more of the fight.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE MOD
You can test the mod for yourself!
Step 0: Have the latest version of Undertale (I have only tested on the Steam Windows version)
Step 1: Download DeltaPatcher here: www.romhacking...
Step 2: Download the mod here: www.mediafire....
Step 3: Use the DeltaPatcher software to apply the patch. The original file is the data.win file in the Undertale game folder, and the xdelta patch is the anti-piracy.xdelta file you just downloaded.
Have fun!
(Note: a save file past the ruins will not work, please reset or use a save file from before the ruins.)
(Note 2: the mod crashes when playing in Japanese, so play in English.)
Somehow this video has been found by people again, so I've added instructions to download the mod in the description (I meant to do that a long time ago, but I forgot...).
The ruins are unchanged, so if you want to skip to the sans encounter, please load a save file from the end of the ruins.
Note that save files from after the ruins will NOT WORK (can't have you cheat by bypassing sans with a later save!)

by the way, the battle with Sans is almost not official, because only at level 19 Sans has enough karma power to "poison" us. Therefore, if the level is 18 or less, sans will deal only 1 damage in 5 seconds. But it's nothing terrible)

@@infotube6464 We don't really know if Sans ignoring invincibility frames is because of Karma or not. We know Karma is the purple "poison" but as far as I know, we don't know if Sans ignoring invincibility is because of said "poison".
Not respecting invincibility frames might be just one of his tricks, considering how confident he sounds about being able to kill you in one of the neutral ending phonecalls and the MMT monolouge.

it's funny that you still take karma damage from sans ability, but not because your player has lots of LOVE, just because you pirated the game, that's why you receive that damage

Alas, the real undertale anti-piracy screen is like telling you "Hey, this is bad. Don't do it." and sends you to the game purchase page on Steam.
I got anti piracy screen just from flowey, but I quickly left the game because I thought it's a omega flowey because I hate him, now I never opened that game again and never pirqted

The reason it isn’t in the game is because it doesn’t make much sense for the creator (Toby fox) to try and stop piracy due to the fact he has pirated before. In an outdated FL Studio tutorial it was revealed that he used a cracked FL studio client

My theory is that the actual piracy would be sans babbling about that piracy is bad and buying the game, and then he would kick u out of the game and deletes itself
The game deleting itself was actually something that was originally going to happen after you completed the Genocide route, but that caused the game to be detected as a virus so Toby had to cut it
Ah yeah, the one time the free antivirus on your Windows device works is when Toby tries to get Undertale to delete itself.

I feel like with most games something like this comes off as weird or makes no sense to actually be part of the game but this is different. Until I read in the description that this was a mod I thought it was really how Undertale handled piracy because Undertale is one of those games where this would make sense to actually be part of the game.
