    In this video I removed the secondary air system. Made a block off plate to seal the SAS channel in the cylinder head. Also replaced the two broken studs in the exhaust manifold. For that I had to remove both exhaust manifolds.

    Very nice, these cars need more attention. Perfectly suitable for many mods while maintaining the subtle and elegance looks/drive. Looking forward for new videos, i also have a 960 with the 3 liters.

      Thanks! 960 are great cars and lot more videos to come.

    YESSSS!! Been searching for more content about the 960/s90 platform! They are overshadowed by the 850/s70 and the redblock cars. I have a 98 s90 and I had to order rear coilovers from Wales because I can't find any alternative here in the states! Not even a factory type replacement for the shocks!

      These are great cars, but finding parts is quite hard.

      @@SATSMotors So is your 960 an M4.4 car? I removed the air injection pump on my 98 s90 and it eventually gave a check engine light. Did you add a diode inside the ECU between pins 32 and 37 to prevent this?

    • @SATSMotors
      @SATSMotors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Should be a M4.4. Didn't do anything else. Only unplugged it and removed. Did you check what error code did you have? Maybe the newer ones have a built in SAS check. Mine is from 1996.

    Great video, thanks for the info. I have a 97 3.0 and I really enjoy modifying cars, so, thanks a lot.

    I got a 1995 965 and my SAS delete was just to unplug the pump. No code whatsoever! i also did a EGR delete. just welded the Exhaust manifold, intake ports shut on the stainless tubing and theres 2 wires going to a cast iron valve under the intake. Just cut the wires going to it and install a 15K resistor between the wires and you are done!

    Hey! Are you planning to go with a custom stainless steel exhaust manifold? Was the secondary air system broken in your car so you did the delete? Love your videos, especially the 960 ones :D

    • @SATSMotors
      @SATSMotors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'll keep the OE manifolds right now, but plan is to use this extra room for something special. SAS was working fine. Really great that you like the videos

    You said two studs were broken. Was that before you did any work? Did you notice an exhaust leak?

    • @SATSMotors
      @SATSMotors  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Studs broke off when the exhaust leak was repaired. Did have a big exhaust leak when the studs were broken.

    How thick was your plate? It didnt interfere with the coil pack?

    • @SATSMotors
      @SATSMotors  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      2mm thick. It did but nothing that bad

    how does the car react to just removing the pump? i got no sas pump installed on my 960 2.9l, is that harmfull?

    • @SATSMotors
      @SATSMotors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There will be no error codes if you just remove the pump. Removing the pump will not harm the engine. Only the catalytic converter will warm up slower.

    Awesome video. Engine is just like mine! What is the benefit of the SAS delete?

    • @SATSMotors
      @SATSMotors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! If it works then there is no benefit for the removal. I just want the extra room near the exhaust manifold.

    I don't care how much you hate your own accent/voice or face, please try to speak a bit in the defacto language and show yourself - it makes the videos that much more personal and engaging. My 2c. Off to find out what the point of the SAS is. My latest 2.5 960 has it and I was wondering what it was.

    • @SATSMotors
      @SATSMotors  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do know that the speaking will make the videos a lot better, but for me it takes twice or even more time to do any of the work then. And I don't have that time yet. But I do want to push myself to be able to talk in my videos.

      @@SATSMotors consider putting together a simple voice over setup in your edit, for a start - I totally understand the time soak that filming and editing videos is - trust me. Just anything, eg a bit of "I"m doing this here" and "now that that's done we can do this other thing" or whatever - plus an intro with face and maybe an outro with face? That'd be my suggestion - no pressure, just trying to be helpful :-)
