This is just beautiful. It's easy enough to admire the modernity of the Megaworld area, which other places, however, already have. But it's the area in this video that captures what is unique to Iloilo, in addition to its old town with the old buildings.

as of this writing, iloilo city does not have a drone law. so, there are no permits required yet. however, one must be respectful of other people's privacy when flying drones, especially when the video footage is going to be uploaded on social media. thanks.
What drone did you use and what's the max altitude?
just a dji mavic mini 2. the maximum ceiling is 500 meters.
I wish they build 4 tall skyscraper 350 -400 as a landmark of a downtown city center

@@mj-nv1xq Height limit only refers to the area in the heritage District of the downtown Calle Real. The same rule also applies to heritage areas in Europe like in Paris, France where bldgs in the old heritage district of Paris are limited to 8 storeys. However, in Iloilo City, there is now under construction a 33-storey bldg which falls in the boundary outside the heritage zone. Anyhow, tall bldgs from 8 to 22 storeys are now located at the new central business district in Mandurriao.
It's not advisable to have sky scrapers sa downtown area. The land can't support it due to the quality of the soil. It can be possible sa may Jaro and Molo area.

Maliit lang pala urban area ng iloilo tapos isang area lang yung may mga midrise buildings. Without megaworld cguro wala talagang makitang modern place. Kaya pala mababa siya sa ranking ng revenue, gdp and assets. Over rated lang
di ba pede maging masaya na lang tayo sa ating kapwa? kahit muka barangay o sitio lang yan, they deserve respect.
Parang 1/2 lang ng Cebu at Davao pero mas malaki kaysa CDO at Bacolod ang urban area ng Iloilo. Pero di hamak na mas maganda at organized kaysa 4 na yan. Saan ka dyan sa 4? Odong ka o Tikalon? 😂
@@eagleeyes9112 organized na pinag yayabang mo is the busienss districts lang ng megaworld. Natural organize yan ksi private company. Tsaka late na nag improve ang iloilo tho it is one of the oldest city, kaya they have time ayusin yung ibang areas.

@@AkilesAmonte-xh2ie Napuntahan ko na CDO, Bacolod, Clark-Angeles, Baguio and Metro Cebu. Davao na lang ang hindi pa sa mga metropolitan areas sa Pinas. For me, pinaka gusto ko ang Iloilo city kasi less chaotic at hindi siya Metro Manila feels para siyang Clark feels na mas compact lang specially the Mandurriao area. Yung downtown Iloilo ok din maayos naman at iba rin ang feels niya parang may sariling mundo rin sila dun. Yung Jaro at Pavia area lang ang medyo hindi ko bet dahil lage matraffic at sometimes chaotic or baka nataon lang nung pumunta ako.
Lumalabas na rin ang ganda ng skyline ng Iloilo better pa nga sya sa skyline ng Davao based sa pictures / videos. Once matapos siguro yung mga ongoing high rise projects ng Megaworld, Ayala at SM tingin ko mas magiging compact na siya tignan at comparable na rin siya sa Metro Cebu skyline.
Iloilo needs to do something about its poverty. Corruption needs to be stopped. Set rules. And establish a government that cares for its people.

Very clever of you to invent imaginary problems for Iloilo. These are not Iloilo's. These are actually the problems of your city just nearby across the sea. In your city, squatters are everywhere. Corruption is very common, that is why your city is very dirty, the streets are wornout and dirty, vendors occupy the sidewalks, your traffic lights are not working, your public markets are like ghettos, your downtown buildings are old and grimy. Your only one city public plaza is like a year round peryahan. Your city government is helpless because the people there in your city throw their garbage anywhere.
@@armandosune3839 Bacolod doesn't have that either since it is twins with Iloilo. Cagayan De Oro has that.
poverty and corruption are NOT exclusive to iloilo city. the WHOLE COUNTRY suffers from them. by the way, this channel is not about politics. it's about beauty from a higher perspective.
@@armandosune3839it's not just across the sea there are other two cities with almost the same area. I don't understand why they're so insecure of Iloilo which i;s almost only half their size
