  • The Advertising Standards Authority of Singapore has received two complaints against Sterra -- a local water and air filtration company -- for an ad that implies the country's tap water is unsafe for drinking. In a viral video, Sterra Singapore's Instagram commercial has been called out for being misleading and for using scare tactics to sell their products. National water agency PUB has asked Sterra to stop putting out misleading online content and to review their online marketing strategy.

Local brands like Prism+ & Sterra are notorious for using false advertising & fear of missing out tactic. Do complain to the authorities & boycott them to stop this nonsense!

Good expose. Many ads/postings/news/marketing promos are misleading/inaccurate. Take time to check /research. Don't just consume/accept whatever is given. Gosh. Such a toxic era.

  • @nicklee7002

Those filters inside these water purifiers actually contain many times more bacterias than our tap water; unless you replace those filters every few days.

  • @beedeebee179

    they should be heavily fine.

  • @jeneuweenlaf948

Sterra shld be fined heavily. This is intentional lying.

I've been drinking water straight from the tap for more than 5 decades. Never had a problem. Now I'm 69 years old and living happily.

While the water cleaning from pub is safe to drink, the issue would be from pub to your house, it passes through many different kinds of pipes that have different age which can have clay, rust or algae inside hence, it really depends on your pipe maintenance and how old they are. So filtering it basically cleans out those which the water picked up while enroute to your residence

The authorities should put a heavy fine for misleading ads. Heavy fine in a range of 100-500K.

😂😂😂Sterra channel advertised their purified water as "Korean Water". In China and Korea, influencers/celebrities who endorse unethical advertisement/products will end their endorsement deal and refund their endorsement fees to be socially responsible to their fans. In Singapore, you can see these greedy and unethical ah lian/ah beng influencers just quietly not saying anything. SG really has a long way to go in terms of ethics.

  • @SuccessforLifester

At first I thought a Korean face was the spokesperson of this ad

Any over advertising of a brand should automatically be a red herring.. for eg, I write off prism+ too as it also advertises.. simple as that
