I love a good towel wash and I'm the same as you love all white towels and bathmats but I always wash mine at 60 degrees then I never get any marks left behind x
Surprised considering this is the replacement model to the WMV960WPS and more expensive than it’s predecessor, and Miele have replaced the silent variable speed drain pump on the 960 with a cheap on/off drain pump for the 980. Shows the company is cutting costs.
@@sabistar44 if you listen to my 960, you will hear the pump ramping up and down depending on water volume being expelled. th-cam.com/video/u9U-giXg4oo/w-d-xo.html
Lovely video as always! Works exactly the same as my WCR870. Mine always seems to cut down on towels even when loaded full. However when I had the WMV960 before that would do the same as yours did - show a short cycle as you were loading and you’d come back to find it had added time on. I’ve just had the shock absorbers and twin dos sensor replaced on mine, it sounds like new again now although I was shocked that it needed two major things at such a young age. The matching dryer is a different story however
Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I had TwinDos issues on my previous one - it's a shame. I'm interested in the matching dryer- what are your thoughts on it?
I have that same ticking tsk tsk noise at 9:50 until 10:12. Happens in the main wash like yours and also in some spins. I believe this may be an issue with the springs. Have you asked Miele about it? Seems like most do it out of the box :/
I bought Miele’s 860 and 780. This is its medium model. Compared with other brands, the details are indeed very good. Personally, I think it's worth the price... But the two units entrusted to China by a third party plus 1,500 euros still think it is worth it, because the models sold only in China are Czech special, and the price is three times the price of the German version. The price of the German version is only one-third compared with that of the Czech version, and the third party also provides a two-year warranty service.
I wonder if it increased because of the cold filling only? Either way, nice to see it washing well.. that twin dose does seem to dispense the right amount. Nice rinses and nice quiet noise levels over previous models 👍 Especially liking those really fast inter spins.. similar to my Bosch.. almost a final spin but that really helps with rinsing as all the soap residue is gone! Thanks for uploading
I also have the top model Miele W1 and from what I hear on your recording your washing machine also starts ticking and creaking a bit during the spin cycle as if it wasn't screwed in all the way. I guess that's the charm of these washing machines, because I was worried until now that I was the only one who got such a copy. By the way, I'm curious about your opinion on the new Miele washing machines, the ova series, which they showed at this year's IFA. A drum without wipers... What do you think about these new products?
Hi Great video thank you. I love the comfort pure too! I’ve had my W1 Miele about 12 months and love it. Recently bought the matching T1 heat pump Miele dryer which is far more energy efficient than my older Miele condenser dryer. Miele appliances cost more, but worth every penny for durability and efficiency. Best wishes for Christmas T 🎄🙂
I think the reason for it to double its time is because of the soak option. This is very interesting. I'm from the US where front loaders aren't as common.
I have this same machine and I hate it. It is so fussy on spinning sometimes gives up and doesnt bother to spin at all. Pump is noisy and all in all I am very dissapointed with it.
Its very cheap to run and my clothes definitely last longer. It did take some adjusting of the settings for clothes not to come out damp, and cycle times for towels can be long. But usually, it uses less and a 1kW of electric to dry a full load.
@@thelaundrychannel2940 yes, it does create more suds/foam and delivers better cleaning results- give it a try. It may also depend on your water hardness.
I'm actually shocked how loud the water fill is and the general running of the machine. The spin cycle sounds like the machine is not perfectly leveled.
@@sabistar44 This is why I'm actually shocked.I bought the miele W487WPS 18years ago which would have been the top of the range back then. And from what i see now the Miele passion does not seem as well built considering I paid 1700euro in 2004 the miele passion is 2800euro .I actually thought the passion would be an amazing machine but it only spins to 1600rpm and the wash cycles are much longer than years ago but I believe that maybe a European directive to reduce water the electricity.Besides miele there is no good brand unless as I'm thinking of maybe going away from residential miele and moving up to commercial miele machines which would be or should be better. In my opinion miele are the only home appliance manufacturer if you want the best.

I think that Miele makes washing machines with poorer quality every time, even though it is the passion model. Mine is from August 19 and a lower model and I have never seen her do any unbalanced spinning with loads even bigger than this.

not worth the money, over 3k ? loud noisy. if the main board goes, its over £600 thats without it being programmed, build quality crap, 80% plastic, the lg signature is better than this heap of shit

Interesting, I didn't know that. I have to say I would have expected the pumps to be quieter, given that this is their supposed flagship model.

Some of the older models didn't have 5 degree temp adjustmens, but they did have a 55 degree temp and a 85

I do share your passion for softeners on towels, not always but sometimes at least
If you like 55° just take the 60° Eco Program it runs exactly @55°
Hello , i got the one under this one in Australia WWR 860 twin dos , what ml do you have your detergent set at thanks
I've had it a week still getting use to it 😊
Why dont you do 60 for towels?
This wash cycle lasted about 37 minutes, yes? That is too long! Can you change that to 26 or 27 or eve 28?

miele wwr 860 and the wwv860 passion what’s the difference?
Pl show the dryer filter if you can for the cleaning intensity .
Why did you change your first Miele with the Passion model ?
Where is the washing detergent
It’s in the machine. It dispenses it automatically.

It's the same, you can use towel cycle for both.
