Biggest Decepticon from the G1 toyline, one of the most memorable characters in Marvel G1 and he was part of the most epic battle in the Sunbow cartoon (seriously, despite the brevity of the fight, I always get excited by it). He would be so proud of his achievements.
I bought my Scorponok a few years ago via eBay. A seller in Portugal had him in great condition and decided to finally get him. While he had no box or accessories, the condition of the figure was great. Happy with my purchase.
Got the earthrise scorpinok for Christmas and I think it’s a fitting upgrade to the organic toy. Yeah the base mode is missing a few features and fast track not being sold with it is sad but it improves in almost every other way. Plus he’s massive and it feels nice and heavy. I remember looking at the figure and going holy crap he’s huge!
I notice that the G1 Scorponok toy looks like the Scorponok from the Headmaster Series in Japan where the Headmaster Partner Zarak is smaller than the Earth Rise Headmaster Partner.
Cool review. I still have my childhood Scorponok. One of the best G1 toys. It wasn't mentioned in the instructions, so I didn't realise there was a panel on Zarak's back to cover Scorponok's face until I got the scaled down Kabaya version of G1 Highbrow and Brainstorm 18 years later. I saw Highbrow had a panel so I tried Scorponok. 18 years I never noticed!!
Scorponok had more to do in the Japanese Headmasters and Japanese Masterforce. And I think he is the largest decepticon for Hasbro, but Overlord was bigger I believe. But those toys weren't being made in the US. Great video I am glad I found your channel. Plus a fellow military bud that loves transformers.
I should get my Skorponok on Tuesday!! I do wish they would've treated his head like Fort Max's. It could've been a smaller robot for Zarak (like Cerebros and Spike) that formed the scorpion's head and flipped a couple parts to become Scorponok's head. Zarak just looks a bit goofy sitting in the helmet. I always though he was motorized to roll on the wheels to appear to be walking. A bit bummed it's not but I guess that's one less thing to break, right?
Nice video. This is a toy that I never got as a kid. I really liked him except for how tiny the head is inside the helmet. By the way... Although I like this video, you've gotten better at making them since this one. In new videos, you display and talk a bit more about the details in toy and of course your editing is better. Kudos!

You're welcome, I'm actually still hunting parts. Fasttrack's guns are repros and looks like I'll be on the hunt for a new Fasttrack body as well...during filming mine ran off the table, hit the floor, and his foot snapped off.
Though I knew he was big, I never realized he was bigger than G1 Trypticon. Great review, as always. Way to make it 100 vids. At the rate your going you will hit 200 in no time!
I always keep the radar dishes in the chest cavity for scorpion and robot modes. You can also peg the assembled rifle between the folded up robot legs in scorpion mode. If you've got him in base mode, Greasepit and Airwave also fit perfectly on either side of the tail ramp, nuzzled up against the repair bays.

Did you ever watch the Transformers Energon TV Series? Scorponok was in that too. I actually never watched that series, but I know he was in there. That's a neat toy, but I don't like Scorponok being that large.
I have the Energon figure, he's a great homage to G1 and a decent size. I'd love to see a Leader Class figure of Scorponok that ditches the City Mode and just keeps the Scorpion one.

Overlord is just a little bit shorter than Scorponok. Masterforce featured Black Zarak, which had a different helmet, color scheme and a spear.

This is how I think the next line of Titan figs should follow: Scorponok, Chela, Tidal Wave, Navitas, Vigilem & Caminus.

I just bought a heavily damaged Scorponok g1 for 15 bucks, but its only missing the head.

I wanted to see a size comparison of Scorponok with Fortress Maximus even though I already know Fort Max is twice his size.

Wasnt g1 overlord slightly taller or are we just talking US releases. And i really loved him in marvel comics and was sad when he died.
