I am studying latin so my goal is really only reading and I am find CI has been very useful and is about 80 percent of what I do. Of course is speaking is your goal you need to practice speaking. If reading than reading.

Hello. I've recently found your channel and am enjoying it. Thank you. For me, it would be very helpful if you'd explain the terms you're discussing before you unpack the pros and cons. For example, this video is about comprehensive input. Knowing what it is from the start would have helped me better understand the video. Again, thank you for making these videos.

It definitely would probably work in an ideal word, but it only really works when the input can be perfectly controlled with all context available and understandable to the listener expect the language itself. That might be possible for very basic sentiments as a beginner, but anything more abstract and complex becomes exponentially more difficult to explain comprehensively without external explanation.
Using your method of language islands or sentence mining seem to be more practical ways of learning new things that people can do with real input and content to speed up the speed of acquisition through specific studying methods.

Why should I trust anybody that calls himself a "Hyperpolyglot"? Thats pathetic.

What I really don't understand is where the step *"learn words with mnemonics first"* comes in?
Do you FIRST do e.g. 1000 words using exclusively mnemonics - without any sentences, just "word + mnemonic" ?
Or do you just start out with these language islands (1000s of phrases without mnemonics) right away?
    Thanks 🙏

For the most common word list right in thebeginning. Or simply use mnemonics for the vocabulary from the lines you prepare.

Anecdotal evidence , a la Krashen, is the worst kind of evidence, because the anecdotes are always about a highly biased sample.
If somebody does 1500 hours of comprehensible input, that person is obviously highly motivated.
Any results say far more about them than about the method they chose.

Totally agree with you mikel, let say you get thousands of words i mean with 4 chunk to the comprehensible inputs if your not speak that isn't correct thing, isn't it? To me I created 9.000 words in 2 languages English and German to be honest so efficiently method im talking about language islands with mnemonic and retrievel associations text to speech file also.

You are correct about that! I agree with your point of view. Acknowledging the accuracy of your observation is important, as it highlights significant aspects that shouldn't be overlooked. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
