Friendly Reminder: Each Canon Dual Fisheye lens is different! This means the template calibrated based on my Canon R5C will be DIFFERENT from your setup! This is why you need to watch the manual 3D calibration part of 2X GO2 to remove vertical disparity issues! I skip that in R5C session as I covered that in detail in the GO2 part. If you have any other questions, please start a separate comment here and I will address them asap! Sorry for the confusion there. I hope all the templates are useful as your STARTING point to getting great 3D!
Your Mistika preset results in a 'black screen' (both PC and Mac) - the stitching page just doesn't show anything after loading it. I found another video that explains how to do it manually (I have another R5 sample footage) and followed that, looked great, closed mistika to open the config utility (only app in the world that you need ANOTHER app to config the resolution of the output).. reopened, and it was ruined! somehow the circle now needs to be 66 instead of 43... had to change the circle and focal again. Output resolutions don't make sense.. especially if I try to do up and down for 360 footage.. it's not zooming in or out within 20 seconds.. sometimes freezes. The DEOVR thing doesn't work at all. I HATE Mistika. I'm breaking my head also with the Davinci Resolve for GO 2.. I do want to thank you for everything you teach us. But Mistika is a horror show. I can't remember the last time I was so frustrated by a piece of software, Qoocam and Xphase badly written GUIs and software is a piece of cake compared to Mistika. I'm a professional programmer, have been designing GUIs forever and doing some hardcore stuff, and even Microsoft doesn't frustrate me so much. At least I can now stitch my DETU MAX files again, without having to pay crazy monthly fees for another buggy software (Mistika VR) just because there's no alternative, and obviously that money doesn't go where it should go (Mistika - PLEASE HIRE A GUI GUY!!!). We are so unlucky in the 360 and VR field, seems like until Canon picked up the glove with this, all we had was unreliable chinese companies with products that always feel like early beta versions of something they want to make.. and companies that start and shut down. I hope sometimes soon the big camera companies like Sony, Fuji or Canon will make a fully fledged 360 camera.
@@TheGKFront u say you are a professional programmer?lol, a professional programmer even dont know how to adapt software, you may dont know linux.Without chinese 360 product, you will still in the 2d field.dont count on big camera companies, they do sucks more than you think,Canon has it's own vr workflow software, why not to try out it's gui?u will get surprise.
Huge thanks for this! I didn't know about Mistika Boutique before hand. There was a bug with Mac Studio installation, but the SGO helped me very quickly with it. I got around 20 fps encoding output with R5C VR180 with the Mac Studio which was amazing. Please make the color grading tutorial for R5C VR180 videos. If you do this, please take into account denoise and sharpening as well. My current workflow is to do the denoise, color-grade and sharpening in Davinci, but it would be great to do everything in one software & one run. I have another video request as well: please revisit the 360 audio and make a tutorial how to do R5C VR180 with 360 audio. Here is the tools I wish you would use: 1. Zoom h2n as recorder in VR mode. I think it's better choice than h3-vr because it probably sounds better with horizontal sound sources. Mounted on the top of R5C it won't who in picture. 2. Stereo wireless microphones (Rode Wireless GO) 3. Davinci and/or Mistika. Davinci audio features are actually very good. Mixing the audio from h2n and wireless microphones.
360 Audio recording toturial with the h3vr and nec mic with the canon r5c please, Master Hugh! Arttu - can you confirm easy work and perfect result with MistikaVR for the canon R5c? Some users here dislike it BIG time.
@Yuval Shor I can confirm that I get easily perfect results with MistikaVR & R5c & RF 5.2mm dual fisheye lens. The workflow is easy and reliable. Not the most convenient but easy to reproduce. I do have to first color grade, denoise and sharpen the RAW video with Blackmagic Resolve. So this is the step 1. After that I run the defish in MistikaVR. I took Hugh Hou's defish template and zeroed out his lens peculiarities with a text editor. I've noticed that I have to adjust the x & y offsets for each shot to get perfect results even if my lens is always the same. This is the step 2. Finally I do the final 60 Mbps h.265 for Oculus Quest in Resolve. This is the step 3. So it is actually 3 step process, which is a little inconvenient. But I'm happy to have a process that yields perfect results reliably. I use ProRes LT as intermediate video format. I wonder if MistikaVR has a denoise filter I could use. I could then probably do the whole process in 1 step. Denoise is very important as the R5c RAW is noisy. I'd like to throw in TopazLabs "Video Enhance AI", but it is just too slow for 8k sources even on my maxed out Mac Studio.
I Just bought 2 Gopro Hero 11 minis with max lens mods and used this tutorial to create a corrected side by side video and was wondering how I can save the corrections as a preset for each resolution and frame rate I use so I can load it like you did with the Go2? Thanks for all the tutorials.
How did you go with this @MINRoadkill ? Thinking of doing the same but I’d like to use stabilisation as well… preferably Gyroflow or Reelsteady instead of the internal stabe. Any experience doing this with the stabe?
@@itsmeRizzG This is just a hobby for me and I had never heard of either software until you mentioned them, but I imagine they work the same basic way as in camera stabilization does which will not work for VR180. Stabilization is done in camera or with software by slightly cropping the image in order to keep the image in the same position. While one camera/software might pick the new center of field as slightly left of original center, the other camera might pick the new center as slightly down or right. At the 12:00 mark of this video Hugh switches between eyes. If I do that with stabilized footage then the yellow crop circle will not line up on both images. I figure Mistika could correct this and even use key frames to keep the crop circle of each aligned for moving footage, but my knowledge of Mistika is limited and that seems like it would be a lot of work. I think the best option is mechanical stabilization but the current economy has limited my available funds and prevented me from adding new gear. I have decided on a DJI Ronin-SC and will be building my own vibration dampener and should be able to get theses items by the end of the month. Even if this works, I will limit footage to straight line shots as too much movement quickly makes most people sick in VR.
@@MINRoadkill Cheers for the detailed description. With Gyroflow you can use gyro data from different sources at the same tilt angle to stabilise footage. For instance, you can use the gyro data from a gopro mounted at the same tilt angle than a cinema camera and sync it with the footage of that other camera to stabilise the footage. My idea I've had is to use both the same cameras on a rail, insuring the same tilt, but then only using the gyro data from one of them on both clips, to reproduce the same centre point as both are stabilised from the same data source using the same algorithm. I was considering this for a particular application where vibrations probably come into play. Mechanical dampening might be possible, however it might not exactly be compatible with the shots I'd like to get. Might just bight the bullet and get a second Hero 11 mini to try it. 😅
In the past, I left a comment saying thank you for giving Korean subtitles to the video. I want to say thank you again today. You are the best vr content TH-camr... No! I am a teacher.
! Hello my dear friend. Please tell me, if I have two identical Canon cameras with the same lenses, will I be able to make 180° VR in DaVinci Resolve ? If Yes, can you make such a video lesson or point to a link?!? Thank you very much.
Your tutorial has helped tremendously! Is there a way to stabilize the Go2 video in Mistika? I tried using the Mistika Stabilize feature but it did not seem to do anything. If I use the Insta360 software to stabilize video it converts and crops it. Thanks!
Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to do that for now. I won't suggest moving the camera at all - same as in Canon R5C as well - moving VR180 camera is just very make people sick
Hi, thank you very much for your video. I have a red v raptor and a Canon double fisheye lens. I want to expand and output VR videos through Mistika to watch on quest2 and pico4, but your template link about red on Mistika seems to be invalid, no Know how to download this preset template, Thank U
@ 5:04 you mention the settings (Manual shutter, ISO, etc). Based on what I'm seeing, it appears you can only set those settings while connected to the app. Otherwise, you are limited to auto mode when using the case to set the settings. Am I missing something?
@@hughhou Thanks for the reply. Insta confirmed that once you make the settings, they are valid for 5 minutes before the camera reverts to 'auto' mode. So I suspect if you connect to each camera and setup the settings, then record with in 5 minutes it will work fine. Is that what you suggest?
@@indyglass Thanks for confirming the time limit with insta. I did some experiments and was able to confirm that the manual settings and the 5 minute time limit only apply to the App. If you initiate the recording outside of the App, then it completely ignores the manual settings even if you do it inside the 5 minute time limit. I don't think there is any way to record on both cameras at the same time from the same iOS device, so realistically the only way to record on both cameras with manual settings is to use two iOS devices at the same time. Seems like a pain in the butt. Maybe it's better to just use Auto, and then do color corrections in post.
@@mrprezident0 I also found out (more than once) that the Go2 will default to STANDARD video. In other words, I used the remote to set both cams to PRO mode. Took video. Then stopped the recording. I pressed the record button on both cameras later (20-30 mins) to capture more video. When I got home, the first videos were in PRO (Fisheye) mode and the subsequent videos defaulted back to standard video (not PRO). Pain in the butt!
@@indyglass I was able to confirm that using two iOS devices at the same time works for manual mode (I used an iPhone and an iPad). It wasn't as annoying as I was expecting, and you don't have to worry about it defaulting back to standard either when you are using the App.
This is quite the stuff i was looking for. Let me try this flow once. If i m successful, then i will do all i can do to nominate you for this years Noble prize.
Hi Hugh! I find Canon VR Utility extremely slow when it comes to process R5c's 8k 60p RAW footage that are longer than 3-5 minutes. Is Mistika Boutique a better way to process R5c's 8k 60p footage? Or do you have a new workflow for R5c?
No new workflow. My Mistika VR / Boutique and Resolve 18 is still my go to workflow. Mistika is 3x time faster if not more than EOS VR. Also more format available in render. EOS VR is very cheap tho. So what matter is actually computer specs. I am working on test on different laptop specs. So far, EOS VR run super super well on Mac with M2 chips. Testing on Ada GPU and RTX 4070 - 4080 mobile setup. For large file can be GPU cache is running out or memory is running low. It is your computer related issue
@@hughhou I see! I have a M1 Max and it definitely takes 60+ hours to render files that are 100GB+ size. Will definitely learn your Mistika workflow. Thanks Hugh!
Thanks for that super helpful video! I’m just getting into VR180 video and want to use two GoPro hero 11’s. Problem is that I would like to stabilise it for my purposes using gyroflow, which I assume I’ll have to do first using one of their gyro data as gyro reference to keep it consistent. Do you have any experience doing gyro stabilisation with VR180? I know it crops, which would be a negative, but just wanted to see your experience with it before I buy a second GoPro or Action 2 😁 Thanks!
Hello, can you teach me please how can I save a camera preset? After many hours I finally made a decent calibration and dont want to lose it. Thank you for your very helpful video.
Hi Hugh, I would be very curious to know your opinion. How much better in terms of image quality would be a set up with two Insta One X2 compared to the most "traditional" ZcamK1 pro ?
At 14:18 this whole aligning center right then left... Aren't you just undoing each change as you move to the next alignment point? I'm in there doing it and that is what it seems like.
Your videos come out at the right time for a project I'm working on, you've been walking me through the whole VR process and I super appreciate that. You've taught me how to go from shooting VR, color grading it, exporting it and putting it on my oculus and it worked amazingly. The next thing I'm trying to figure out is how to upload it to TH-cam. I've seen one videos of yours on it, but the VR Creator for Google isn't working/available. What do I need to upload VR to youtube. That would be the last thing I need to learn on the chain of the workflow and then I'm all set.
I provided the download link of Creator Tool in this video and also the workflow here: th-cam.com/video/2GW7nb47rB4/w-d-xo.html - watch the TH-cam part :)
@@hughhou I have watched this extensively. I wasn't able to get VR Creator for MAC. I've downloaded your pack but it wasn't for MAC. Any suggestions for MAC? Also, you should set up a Patreon, you've been incredibly helpful, and would love to help you keep doing this.
Great tutorial !!! Your videos come out at the right time for a project I'm working on. Did you put the mistika VR template available to download in the description ?. Thank you.
hey Hugh great content on the channel. I've learned a lot from you over the last few months. please consider making a video on Spatial audio workflow in Davinci Resolved.
Will def consider it! But for spatial audio - I will highly recommend Reaper or ProTool instead of using NLE like Premiere or Resolve - they do not support multi-channel spatial audio render.
This tutorial is great, except that when I import my insta360 go 2 video into mistika boutique, it shows up as upside down. If I load the exact same video into fcpx, it is right side up. What am I doing wrong?
@@hughhou are you saying to use mistika boutique to flip the source? Seems simple, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet in mistika boutique. I tried rotating them 180 degrees in quicktime, before importing them into mistika, but even after that they still showed up as upside down in mistika boutique!! I was able to get them to show up as rightside up after exporting them (without rotating them) in fcpx, but when I do that, it doesn't seem to work well with your mistika boutique template.
Where is the best forum to ask questions on Mistika Boutique? I did eventually figure out how to get the source video flipped inside mistika boutique, but that is the least of my problems. I'm having all sorts of weird issues with this software. I I did everything exactly the same as you, but nothing is working like in your tutorial. The camera overlays are not even on top of, or even near the videos. They are in some random location way over to the side. I can't size the crop circle, because I am unable to center it. It is way off to the side far away from the video.
Hugh its so easy and fast to stitch using Mistika VR. I must say that the preset that you made is better than the one Mistika made for me. Thanks for the tutorial and preset.
Hey Hugh, thank you so much for your content! It helps and inspires a lot! I bought two GoPro 11 with fisheye mod to make 3d 180 sbs videos. But Im struggling at the defishing and editing of it. Im not able to get the full 180° view after defishing... Can the 8:6 aspect ratio be a reason behind it? I would be unendless happy if you could make an totorial for vr 180 sbs video making with gopros and max lens mod!! Wish you all the best!
@@hughhou Thank you for your answer! If you are interested, i could send you some shots and also pictures of my assembly. But I can totally understand if you are too busy ;)
ciao! i want to try your configuration for making vr180 of a travels tour. but at this moment i can't fine anymore insta260 go2 on a shop. only the new model Go 3. Can i use your same go2 template and info? thanks for all!!!!
I have just purchased 2 hero11's for VR180 (still waiting for them to arrive). Is the max lens mod a must? I thought it might capture too much of the other lens and be a pain in post edit. If it is a must. How would you set it up for best results?
Hi! Thanks for this video! Very interesting content!! Where did you find your go2 mount to get them aligned? I seqrched for it but never found such a good one.. and did you put the mistika vr template available to download? I didn’t see them In the description 😬 thanks!!
Yes I did. It is in the description "Mistika Stitching Template Download Links"! I did not use any special plates - just a simple photographer rail. Let me put that link in the description as well.
@@hughhou God, it was too big to be seen :D Thanks a lot for this! By the way... If it's possible to make VR180 with 2 cameras such as Go2... If we use 2 One X2... We could have some kind of VR360? I suppose the sharpness would be worst if we set the final resolution to 8K, but... it should work, right?
Thank you for the amazing video!! Can I get a better result than the video if I wear the Max Lens module on the two GoPro 11 and take it at a 8:7 ratio and 5.3k resolution?
Haha you don't. Genlock is a very technical term and not many camera can do so. So you can only old school clap sync. For short video it will be good enough. Long video it start to drift. So ppl have really high standard would rather go with the Pro approach - R5C or RED. But if you see my example - you don't really need genlock to have VR180 for short video takes. It will sync just fine.
@@hughhou Thanks for the response, Hugh. How long does it take for drift to start? BTW, I've had the Dual 3D GoPro rig (with the 2 Black 3+) since when it came and I've always wished that GoPro would make all their new models "genlock-able" for those of us who like 3D. But, sadly... no.
WOW, I already love the trailer! 🤓🤯 haha, funny ''turn off your beat saver.'' like that's all there is on a VR headset, and not exploring its true potential! Can't wait to watch it 🕶🤠
Appreciate this... definitely workflow changes for me in the future with the R5C... field tested in the desert last month and was having all kinds of craziness.
I tried following this workflow with the R5C, but when I try and review the output videos in DeoVR there is a massive horizontal stereo disparity (I tried viewing with both lat/lon 180 and fisheye 180). I also tried using the Mistika Boutique default EOSR5 temaplate but this doesn't even seem to be giving proper VR180 and seems to be mapping to VR360. I also tried importing the rendered videos into PremierePro as a VR80 sequence and then re-rendering but I still get the same thing. Am I missing something here? Why is my horizontal stereo disparity so far off?
You need to calibrate based on your own camera! As we can not guess your camera setup. So please follow this tutorial (some idea in the free version of Boutique) to adjust to your camera using the template as starting point: th-cam.com/video/chPxcBmOwYM/w-d-xo.html
@@hughhou Many thanks for replying Hugh. I'll definitely check out your calibration tutorial. I'm not sure this is the problem here though, it's the horizontal stereo disparity rather than vertical and the difference is massive. Also when I use your STMapper template for Da Vinci Resolve that works fine. My best guess is that the resolution values aren't right for some reason as when I click on one of the timelines in Mistika Boutique it is showing input dimensions of 8192x4320 even though the output dimension is 8192x4096 and the project settings are 8192x4096 too. There doesn't seem to be any way to change it though.
Hey Hugh, awesome video again. Quick question, any reason you switched from Boutique to VR for the Red Raptor? I use boutique normally and I just got a Raptor with the 5.2m Dual Fisheye lens. Curious if its just better to use Mistika VR rather than boutique for that camera
I've been following you for quite some time and you've inspired me to get the r5c and start figuring this out. Very inspiring stuff Hugh. I'd love to see how you color correct in Mistika. Thank you for all the detailed work you are making! Any suggestions on how to get something like the Sennheiser AMBEO mic with the r5c setup?
Thanks for the great video Hugh! I'm wondering if two gopro hero10's with max lens mod, recording a circular fisheye image, would give good results. I'm looking to upgrade from my vuze xr.
Will try this soon. Just bought a second GP10 as I had one anyway , currently without the max lens mod, but considering ordering 2 mlms after a testing phase. Currently completely unsure what can be achieved and if I'm on the right track. Would be great if there is any GP10 + GP10_MLM VR content for reference.
@@der_woe Nice! Yes some dual GP10 Max lens mod VR footage would be great. Does the max lens mod give a full 180 view if you record the circular image?
? Hello, my dear friend. Please tell me and, if possible, show me the whole installation process. How to glue it all together for TH-cam? Thank you. From where, where and how to insert the file of the left eye and from where, where and how to insert the file of the right device/camera? And how to process it all? It would not be bad with examples and if there are other options, then a comparison. I can't find anything. Please help me. Thank you very much. As always, a huge like! .
Hi Hugh, thanks for the video. I have a question, would this also work with two Insta360 Ace Pro? Another question, the Ace Pro has the function to start video recording on voice command, should not the recording be perfectly synchronized with both cameras?
Thank you so much for this - super helpful! One question: I record with the 2 DJI Action 2's - each at 4k. When I create a project with 8k and then export it at 8k using your settings, the output file is rather small and the quality is much worse for each side than the original. Any tips on how i can improve this? Thank you again!
Hey @hughhou, I'm trying this workflow now and wondering what your next steps are after exporting the Prores 4444 out of Mistika VR is? Are you then bringing it into Premiere or DaVinci? Trying to get the V-Raptor workflow dialed for some upcoming shoots. Would love if you had a chance to talk for any tips. Thanks!
The godfather of VR strikes again. Thank you Hugh for this much needed follow up to the Resolve workflow. This is definitely a better render option. I am getting about 10fps, which is 10X more than what I was getting with resolve lol Once my 5 minute test footage finishes I will check out the quality. Thanks again!
I will do the research - I was talking to FCPX and the Apple team but they drop the ball. Let me follow up to see if they gonna release something soon. There will be an update on FCPX that will make thing easier.
Welp I did it.. i ordered a second max lens mod 2.0 and already have 2 hero 12s and 2 media mods... So lets see if I can figure this out when it comes in.
@@hughhou I backed out and cancelled the second max lens mod 2.0. I'm afraid I'll be wasting my time without someone making a tutorial or template of settings first lol. I have the 2 gopros and 2 media mods and 1 max lens 2.0 and pro DaVinci resolve already too. You hinted at an insta360 X4 sooo I'm really more excited to get that instead anyway.
Hello. Thank you again! You are the best in this theme! Question: Your gaming laptop gives you a huge advantage in video processing compared to a MacBook. Will this benefit only be when using Mistika? And if you use Davinci (paid version where the use of a video card is unlocked)? Thank you!
Hi, Hugh Hou! Tonight I was able to connect two 360Rize 360Penguins as webcams to two PCs, crop the back camera out of each and produce VR180 SBS3D video using OBS and NDI. The quality isn't great, but it's a cheap and easy way to start, you can use the rear lenses as another set of VR180 lenses too, and you can stream right away
I don't know where I'd be without your VR tutorials, Hugh - thank you! I'm going to try Mistika with my 8K footage from my R5c - Resolve was taking over an hour per minute to render and my RTX 3090 can't cope with too many effects on too many clips and quickly crashes the program. What I've been wondering, though, with only a couple of VR headsets (Pimax 8K) able to play 8K at full res and most headsets being between 2 and 4K resolution, is there much demand or necessity to render out at 8K?
So you always want the source to be highest quality. 8K VR180 is 4K per eye and you magic window is still like 720P - so a 4K flat video still have more pixel density than us. For final render - Meta Quest 2 I render out 6K - 8K. Pimax really shin when in 360 VR but not so much of VR180. As the FOV is wider than VR180. 8K is very necessary for VR production - and ideally - 12K source :) Headset only need Meta Quest 2 level - it can run 8K no problem.
Thanks for all this information. Been waiting for a decent VR 180 camera for ages. Having seen the footage from the EGO, I might go for that for now, but if that doesn't do it for me, I'll be back looking at this video.
@hughhou Did you notice a little bit of a difference between the projection of both eyes on the V-Raptor Sensor vs. the Canon R5c sensor? I've been shooting with both lately and during reviewing in Premiere, I noticed it looks like both Eyes cover more of the sensor on the R5c vs. VRaptor. Have you noticed that in your testing? It is fine if you use the Canon Dual Fisheye Lens preset in Mistika, but you have to make the lens circle mask smaller. Let me know your thoughts or if you've noticed this as well, or if you are using a different aspect ratio on the camera to offset this. Thanks!! Going to check out the Dolphin 3D film on Horizons World now.
Hello Hugh, I have a question for you, I actually shot with two insta360 go 2 for VR 180 but I wonder if the gopro hero 10, 11 or 12 have a pro video mode aswell to get the full 180 FOV. If not do you have any advice for camera with this feature with a better video quality than the go 2 ? Thanks
Insta360 GO2 has the same sensor as One X2 but it pack all the pixels in front fisheye - so yes, Go2 will have significantly higher image quality than One X2 - I will upgrade to One RS with 1" MFT mod if you want to use other Insta360 camera.

Thank you for such a nice comment 😍 To answer your questions: 1. It’s Arac Swiss rail for long photo lens. Lots of cheap Amazon alternative 2. I hear of the mic but never use it in person. I most post compose my Spatial Audio this day as it sound better so I don’t need expensive AmbiX mic I end up not using. More lavs are better for me for spot audio and a H3VR is enough for background audio. 3. Yes, both Mistika VR or the free Boutique has One RS 1” template.

Hello Hugh, I'm subscribed and have been following you for a while. I just bought two Insta360 X3's ( I already have the One RS 1" 360 ) and would like to try some 180º 3D VR with them. I know from your previous videos that you recommend the Go2. What are your thoughts regarding the X3? Would you consider using the X3 for 180º 3D's? Thanks for all of your help.
Mistika Boutique is even more frustrating than Mistika VR. The GUI is like they programmed this for DOS, seriously it reminds me of that era... no Windows/OsX PROPER standard workspace, standard shortcuts don't work and cause all sorts of other things to happen, it's slow, super hard to understand... doesn't work properly on Apple Silicon. I honestly don't understand it, I had the same issues years ago with Mistika VR, it's like they put all their money and R&D into the algos which is great, but gave the GUI work to a developer from the 80s. It's a real shame there are no better solutions for stitching anymore.
So Mistika Boutique is built first on a Linux system - so the UIs are complicated. Boutique is not so good for Apple M1 machine yet - I think they are working on an update. But really good at Nvidia Studio machine with RTX 30-series. Did you try my Resolve 18 version of the tutorial - Mac M1 is better using Resolve for now.
@@hughhou Can you do the same thing in Resolve?? :O You release so many tutorials I can't keep up hehe :) I would love to do that with Resolve. I'll look at your new tutorials.

Thanks for the tutorial. I have 2 GH cameras what is the best mounting system I can use? What did you use for yours?
Here is the tools I wish you would use:
1. Zoom h2n as recorder in VR mode. I think it's better choice than h3-vr because it probably sounds better with horizontal sound sources. Mounted on the top of R5C it won't who in picture.
2. Stereo wireless microphones (Rode Wireless GO)
Thanks for your help!

Hello my dear friend.
Please tell me, if I have two identical Canon cameras with the same lenses, will I be able to make 180° VR in DaVinci Resolve ?
If Yes, can you make such a video lesson or point to a link?!?
Thank you very much.
2 fisheye lens? Then yes!
¡Gracias!
Awwww thank you so much!
HI,
Do u have a model for the 180vr rail ? I dont see it in link
☺️
Hi ☺️ your links for your 30 and 50fps demo are no more available ?
Can you do this with two insta 360 x2 cameras and get that 3d look and have full 360?
Not yet as you don't get full 180. You need 220 degree lens to do so.
Hi, thank you very much for your video. I have a red v raptor and a Canon double fisheye lens. I want to expand and output VR videos through Mistika to watch on quest2 and pico4, but your template link about red on Mistika seems to be invalid, no Know how to download this preset template, Thank U
Glad it helped! - I just check the link it is working and the RED files are there: drive.google.com/file/d/1GDU7CRIlXEf2-NX-c0m9KxE6DDtivrLp/view
@ 5:04 you mention the settings (Manual shutter, ISO, etc). Based on what I'm seeing, it appears you can only set those settings while connected to the app. Otherwise, you are limited to auto mode when using the case to set the settings. Am I missing something?
Yes you need to connect to the app then you can use the camera button
Thank you so much for this tutorial ! Could we have the Canon R5C template mentioned at 19'10" ?
Yes! Check the download link in the description! Is it not working for you?

Excellent tutorial.. I wonder if two same yi 4k action cams can capture vr180 using this method! They have a resolution of 2.7k 60fps
It should.
This is quite challenging. I look forward to when its point and click
Have you see my latest EOS VR Utility tutorial? That is point and click just not free
Yes do one first and if you can copy the settings of stabilization into other camera EXACTLY that will be great - so they move the same.
Hello, can you teach me please how can I save a camera preset? After many hours I finally made a decent calibration and dont want to lose it. Thank you for your very helpful video.
You can save the depth map or save the project file.
Hi Hugh, I would be very curious to know your opinion. How much better in terms of image quality would be a set up with two Insta One X2 compared to the most "traditional" ZcamK1 pro ?
K1Pro will be a lot better still.

What am I doing wrong?
you can flip your video source.
Hey hugh! im trying to follow along with my dual go 3s, but the links for the templates are not working

Thank you for the amazing video!! Can I get a better result than the video if I wear the Max Lens module on the two GoPro 11 and take it at a 8:7 ratio and 5.3k resolution?
It should be. I know Abe from GoPro is doing that.
How do you get the two GO2s genlocked? Thanks for the great content!
But, sadly... no.
You can use the Align Clip tool to initially align the clips. Watch th-cam.com/video/HphBq1-dXNw/w-d-xo.html starting at about 3:45.

Appreciate this... definitely workflow changes for me in the future with the R5C... field tested in the desert last month and was having all kinds of craziness.
Oh sweet in the desert! Would love to see what you got!
Hi Hugh 👋 I want to buy two "DJI Action 2" Cams with 150° POV. Does it also work with this software?

Hey Hugh, awesome video again. Quick question, any reason you switched from Boutique to VR for the Red Raptor? I use boutique normally and I just got a Raptor with the 5.2m Dual Fisheye lens. Curious if its just better to use Mistika VR rather than boutique for that camera
Boutique is better - I just want to find an excuse to demo VR as well. Boutique support R3D RAW natively for ACES workflow with uni-color plugin

Can I do this with two GoPro 9 Black Ed.?
Thanks Hugh, as usual very informative 👍👍👍
My pleasure!
Muchas gracias Hugh y gracias por compartir.
Thanks
Is it better to shoot with 2 Insta 360 Go than one Insta 360 One?
Insta360 GO2 has the same sensor as One X2 but it pack all the pixels in front fisheye - so yes, Go2 will have significantly higher image quality than One X2 - I will upgrade to One RS with 1" MFT mod if you want to use other Insta360 camera.
@@hughhou Thank you
Hello Hugh,
Thank you very much for your precious sharing.
I particularly appreciate your ability to share your professional skills in depth by delivering high-end know-how.
Your Masterclasses are particularly effective and you detail the techniques in depth, which is a real pleasure for us creators. Your explanations are immediately applicable and it is a real pleasure to enrich yourself with such a level of knowledge.
The only way for me to thank you, I believe, is to acquire your training because I find what you share with great kindness and high-level professionalism extraordinary.
If I could make one wish, it would be to be able to meet you one day to thank you in person.. :-)
A question about this video...What is the brand of the rail on which you attached the 2 GB 2?
A second question: What do you think of the Zylia ZM-1 microphone? Have you tested it? I might be wrong, but didn't you talk about this mic in a course on Ambisonic sound? And if so, which one?
Question 3: Is there a preset to stitch the Insta 360 One RS 1'' in Mistika? If not, can you tell us how to create a stitch preset from scratch in Boutique?
Thank you very much.

@@hughhou Thank you very much for your feedback.
Discovering and applying Pro techniques is really very satisfying. Thank you again for these very useful shares to master all these subjects which evolve very quickly.
Have a great day.

I'd like to see you to colour grade in Mistika boutique for Canon R5c
Hello Hugh, I'm subscribed and have been following you for a while. I just bought two Insta360 X3's ( I already have the One RS 1" 360 ) and would like to try some 180º 3D VR with them. I know from your previous videos that you recommend the Go2. What are your thoughts regarding the X3? Would you consider using the X3 for 180º 3D's? Thanks for all of your help.
You can certainly put 2 X3 side by side to turn into VR180 with some calibration. I have not tried yet tho personally.
为什么我看不到 EOS R5 + rf 5.2的模板文件链接呢?有新的下载链接吗?非常感谢
Hi, I followed the export settings for Canon r5c but i get a double sized file? 16384x4096? Do you know what is happening?
nevermind. I chose SIDE BY SIDE and not SIDE BY SIDE VR180 😕
謝謝!
不用谢!十分感谢!
Can topaz video enhance AI work for vr180 3d? I was watching your older video on topaz AI and it works for vr360.
Yes.
侯哥,我想问问insta360 one r或rs安装4k广角镜头录制视频可以输出像insta360 go2那样完整的鱼眼视频吗😳
Better! 4K One RS is a lot better than Go 2
@@hughhou 谢谢

Its working, thank you!
Try use eye distance >0.5m. It so fanny;
Disconnects for nothing, really not useful and I bought 2 to check...
Se déconnecte pour un rien, vraiment pas utiles et j'en ai acheté 2 pour vérifier...
This is so confusing….
Which part?
@@hughhou yes.
Colorgrade, Colorgrade, Colorgrade - lol. Please.
Yes!! Love to know you want it. I will hit up my colorist and do a good one on this.
