- Arran and I return to trout fishing and mushroom foraging in the Appalachian mountains! We caught so many wild brook trout in the upper elevations and then explored the lower creek to find rainbow trout for dinner. What an epic time! I hope y'all enjoy this episode!

While I've never foraged mushrooms, I love foraging blueberries. When they're in season there'll be a ton at my fishing spot, and they're all delicious.

When picking mushrooms, unless you're digging the mycelium out with a shovel or complete antihalation of the ground, you can pick them however you like without harming the mycelium, it's like apples from a tree, no harm done unless you chop the tree down.

You should come up to CB Nova Scotia Canada next June/August. I’ll show you some amazing fishing spots. Natural springs with massive Brooke trout, I’ve caught about 40 single day (biggest being 18.5” average 10”-13”) they are plentiful. I’m 24 and I’m always up for an adventure brother

Pulling the mushroom out of the ground does not disturb the mycellium, this has been proven multiple times scientifically. But the consideration of it is a nice gesture :)

Can you do a video of ALL of your cooking equipment? I noticed that when you cook you used different type of cooking tools from pots, pan and heat source.
Those mushrooms the yellow ones looked like flowers and remind me of the kind I see in chicken marsala with the way it's broth looked... The white ones seem like good vegan steak ... That place is so fertile the grass is so vibrantly green

Morels are the best mushroom in the history of fungi
When it comes to fresh wild mushrooms, I think morels are the best, followed by porcini, then golden chanterelles.
Add a little wine to your mushrooms wine garlic and a little salt yummy

This is some kind of reality thing where I know for sure he posted this before but idk
I found a pomegranate tree or bush on a property I worked on and asked the owner and he said just take it down after. They was probably 50 pomegranate and just the rite time to be picked! And another smaller one in the back and had 20+ on it. They are like 3-4 dollars each in local grocery stores. I kept enough to make pomegranate adult beverages to give friends for Christmas and gave the rest to friends!
Asa, there is a small river in my town called Helton. I’ve seen guys catch 2 foot long trout, there isn’t a small one in there. Ashe County NC. 16:32
