I liked all their early stuff, but this one was my favorite. At the time I was like 15 and MTV played this clip so much. The vibe of the underground club, the dancing, it was great. I sampled the hell out of the breakbeats. :) When I was 17, house was more of a thing in The Netherlands. I couldn't stomach the happy hardcore and the Gabber, but I always got a soft spot for jungle, dnb, 2step and rave. Shame I never got around to try the UK dance scene. Never knew about censorship for this one. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve got a huge 3D plastic promo that was the face coming out of the wall thing in grey. It was used for promotion at a small record shop where I worked Saturdays during the 90s here in Bristol . It’s on the front of the album artwork if you don’t know what I mean, . It was hung up in the window but replaced over the summer by a big Oasis poster. It’s very brittle now so I’m careful with it in the loft
One of my best purchases back in the day was buying Electronic Punks on VHS. All uncensored versions of the videos, which for most ended with attempting to kill Flint.
I respect this opinion although it’s impossible for me to tell, the early maxis & experience 💿 was so important for me personally; & they made consistent good albums with many wicked tunes throughout their career
@@sangokIn the uncensored version Flint is being shown being dumped in the perspex box, 3:45 shows it filling with gas, basically gassing Keith. Censored version didn't want to take that route.
I never understood the laughing part. (And this uncensored one also gasses him!) That bullying laughter is so unlike any experience I had with anyone in the rave/house scene, so I was always cringing a bit during that scene. Anyone knows what the meaning of this was? I mean breaking walls make more sense. 😂
Near the end you see Keith in a straight jacket in the version on the left, but not on the right. He's also being forced into a transparent box of some sort, which gets filled with smoke, while on the sanitised version on the right, you only see him very briefly in that polycarbonate box.
It's from about 3:30. They take Keith Flint, bound and put him in the glass chamber which then shows it being filled with gas with Flint inside. It being filled is the key difference to the censored version.

Absofuckinglutely yes! Agreed.
One day you show this one to your kids as one of the "tracks of your youth"👍 ❤
I had never seen the "censored" version. I'm also not sure what exactly is being censored. Putting Keith Flint in a box?
@@bouledeberlin8741 You might have to watch closely at the two scenes and compare for yourself. :)
mte. where is the usual comment pointing everything out in detail + respective timestamp ugh

Oh the irony. The man, who really can dance, the god father of shuffle dance, he sits and watches...

Leeroy does shuffle dance? Maxim is sitting down with the cats eyes?
I call it trainspotting back in time...

I remember the vid on the right more but but yeah, strange edits? Amazing band live. Been to see them a few times since the 90's \o/ RIP Flinty 😔🙏❤

For anyone who can't understand the problem: scenes of murder by gas are not allowed by TH-cam policy.
Lol... This is from the MTV era and not the TH-cam era. Maybe it was too intense for MTV. TH-cam started in 2005. This song is from 1994!
Keith is being censored lol
