What happened? Mabel was petrified over one Whammy and didn't want to play anymore. Honestly, she got what she deserved in her 2nd episode. Leaving with nothing except parting gifts.

@@gameshowguy2000 it was fluke luck that Caren hit three Whammies in a row. Pretty stupid on Mabel's part passing multiple spins with just 1 Whammy and 0 dollars.

Yea this was one of the worst decisions I have ever seen in the shows history. There was no reason to pass with $0 and one whammy. It was just sheer luck that the only possible thing that could have happened in her favor did happen. She should have at least taken one spin to put something on the board.

The good news for Caren was that she didn't leave the show empty handed and she didn't lose a car to the Whammy.
I say that once Mabel got the Car, she should've passed when she had the chance.

You got three spins that you have to take. Can you avoid the whammy three times? Remember one more whammy and you're out of the game.
This episode, mainly the finale, for me is one of the most annoying of the show. Mabel made two poor, ridiculous moves. The first was not passing her spins after getting the car, which led to her whammy. But the bigger and dumber move was in Mabel passing her remaining spins to Caren, while Mabel had zero dollars. Even with losing the car, she could have spun once more. You must always make sure you have at least something or reserve before passing your spins. She got what she deserved by "winning" with nothing, and then losing in her next/returning game. It was also insulting how Caren hit three whammies in a row out of the three spins she had to take, which is unbelievable because the game was in her hands. But worse than that was Mabel's move of passing her spins while having zero dollars and going away with nothing. Just unforgivable!

I guess Mathew (from the Banks version) didn't see this episode. He pretty much was too busy trying to whammy out his opponent he didn't think about the possibility of winning nothing in the bonus round.

@@sirharry13as much as trying to win all the money you can is nice, the first priority is always to win the game.
Now, I'll agree that Mabel should have tried to get at least something. Yes, she was over 10k behind, but she only had 1 Whammy and was in no danger of busting out.
In Matthew's case, he was reading the room with all the Whammies popping up and went into survival mode. And I don't blame him at all for it. Win the game, and then make up for it in the bonus round. The latter part didn't work out, sadly, but he doesn't get to that position in the first place if he doesn't pass and eats the Whammies himself.

Mabel should have passed after the car.
Caren should have passed the last spin, and hoped for a Whammy , that way they both would have come back. I don't think Peter mentioned if she passed and Mabel hit a Whammy they'd both come back.

Bad idea, in that technically the odds would have been against Mabel hitting that Whammy - actually, they were against Caren hitting the 4th one by taking the spin herself. You can't really strategize against straight-up bad luck.

So sorry, Mark. You're out of the game. You couldn't avoid that whammy because you had no choice but you had to take the three spins that was passed to you.

But she's the first to be the only singular winner that day of $0, no ties involved.
