Will spaced armor disappear? No. Just the parts that we use will change. Always remember that point-of-aim is a thing in Crossout, so if your weapons converge on the wrong part of a build you can end up missing.
I kept my assemblers because I never found a satisfying build to play with them, satisfying for me can just be fun if not meta, I wonder how they will play with the changes
Honestly, they're going to be better. The ISS builds are designed to space out the blast damage and prevent scorpions from dealing damage, and that subsequently ruins assemblers. Now with infinite damage propagation all sniper weapons are going to see improvement.
They don't really care about this or it could of been fixed 5 years ago. It's a double edged sword they need to change or add ammo types that react to armor differently, or simply add more kinds of armor with different abilities. As a developer I know it would only take a few hours to have in testing phases.
I thought I did ... Long story short, Mastodon deal about 40 bullet damage, so they can push through parts equal to 40 or less durability, OR if the parts are heated 80 or less durability before exploding.
No, but it DOES change if you are at an angle - because penetration is done in measurable distance. So if you are at 45 degrees it's not 7 "pins" because everything is a block, it's closer to 4.
I'm a pretty new player could use tips on builds, making coins to buy better weapons. Fastest ways to collect scrap. I would greatly appreciate your help

@@davidgraham8518 they will still only take 10% damage so they will still be the best to mount weapons to they will just no longer be able to used to make spaced armour because the bullet will lose 10% damage and deliver the other 90% damage to whatever is behind it regardless how far away the next part is. Which means instead of having 6 pins of space between the gun mount and the cab to “absorb” damage you will need to actually use armour to absorb damage b4 it reaches the cab. Having armour far out from the cab will only help keep blast damage from reaching the cab. Or atleast this is my current understanding please correct me if I have made any errors, I’m still learning too
That's more or less correct - spaced armor can keep blast damage away from the cab from weapons that specifically only do blast damage - such as the Pulsar, Quasar, or Phoenix. However ALL of these weapons pass THROUGH pass-through parts. You can see their projectile phase right on through without stopping, and explode (dealing 90% damage) on the solid parts behind. You can still stop pure blast damage weapons by having spaced armor, and if you're creative you can stop cannons in such a way, if you have heavier spaced armor followed by internal armor.

sry but this video doesn't make any sense to me. first u say every weapon has 7 pins penetration and then u try test it with the only weapon that is different? also why do we have cannons or weapons with more pen then? like executioner. so u are saying normal machine gun goes 7 pins deep? it was never like that bro. when i hit people with machine gun i only hit what is on the top so
0.o So you're saying a bunch of stuff here, so I'll try to clarify: Every weapon has 7 pins of damage propagation (not penetration). Spill-over damage (that is damage that is in excess of what it takes to destroy a part) will travel to the next part in line and it will repeat that process until all damage is accounted for, it reaches the 7th pin of distance WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. So yes, a normal machine gun (let's take the Nothung for example) will deal damage up to 7 pins deep if it hits nothing but parts that have very low durability.
So basicly we will get "sidescraping" like in world od tanks,if you put your bild sideway😂😂😂 .So many things to balance but yet they pull this, but ok its Targem, they are just built different
Weeeell... no. See, the Gun Mounts have enough hitpoints to absorb 2 scorp shots, though with most other parts it would be 14 pins... if it weren't for the point of aim as well as the rule would only be different for Scorpions. All weapons only propagate their damage 7 pins, and as such you can absorb or mitigate damage with that rule for most weapons the same way. Also, having 14 pins of distance is meaningless - Let's say the part was destroyed by the first hit, the second shot doesn't actually hit that part at all and will already travel until it hits something of its own.
So...all damage types except one (forgot which one you said) penetrates until damage is consumed or 7 pins? Explains why I hated most of my builds. Iv since quit playing cause once you hit lv30 Engineers, the wall of "Wtf? I cannot compete with these people" was too big too quickly. It wasnt even just equipment, but just pure knowledge on how to build or where to shoot or even identifying what weapon on a build is the largest threat. At lv30 Engineer you cannot find a sub 4k PS match for shit cause, why would people that have been playing for months or years want to play around with weak equipment? Yet unless you zerod in on what type of weapons you wanted or crafted items you wanted, you would not have had a single purple item through crafting. Yeahyeah, I know, sell materials, but stuff off market, its cheaper (usually) and faster but I like the FEELING of making my own crap. So now you have someone with still noobie levels of knowledge about build setups, with at best teal equipment, going against people with fused teals or purples with several months (or more) of knowledge getting completely shit stomped wondering "Why do people find this fun?" The only reason I could see someone staying around through this shit is if they have skills. Aim accuracy alone can carry someone thats subpar in other aspects of this game further then equipment ever will outside of a few scenarios. Im not that good :|
Yes, all damage types propagate for 7 pins except for BLAST damage - which can only propagate as far as the blast radius of the explosive with reduced damage based on distance from point of detonation. I have a video out on this for new players, but my advice is to complete the weekly quests for the pathfinder container. By constantly doing that you can get 2 epics, albeit random epics, per month. This really helps jump start an account, and even if you haven't been doing them you can start at basically any time. As for attempting to get matches - if you find yourself out-matched you can play vs bots to gather resources to make better equipment. As for building better builds... I guess I'll just have to do a video =D
I'm new, only 3 months in but I can tell you your wrong when it comes to getting epics and legendary parts. If you PLAY and gather resources you can craft items very easily. I make 3 hovers a week and sell them for 1050 or 1000. Which let's me buy all types of stuff. You have to be willing to put in the work to advance. As for fighting, better equipment helps alot and learning to fight helps the most. If your into shooters you'll have an advantage, if not you'll have an uphill challenge. I personally like the challenge. This is my first shooter EVER but I enjoy getting resources even if you lose. I played fighting games for years and there is alot of disrespect on those games. With the limited chat and fast paced games most don't have time for that foolishness. Crossout is an awesome game in my opinion.
Spaced armor is so annoying. They look like flouting garbage and they only have that build because the devs allowed it to be "meta"(vomit). Nothing should be "meta" in this game, it wouldn't be fair to the other players. Also, tank beats catapult every time. Fire damage doesn't effect metal like flesh, those should be support weapons and not gotchya gimmicks. The devs know what they're doing and its annoying.
Well, let's be fair - Crossout has never been about realism. There aren't even drivers in the cabins of the cars (if you look closely enough). Ultimately the spaced armor thing may not be going to go away if they replace the 7 Pin rule - this is simply because of point-of-aim shooting.
This won’t stop me from making a cool tank thing and going into a match getting annihilated by the flying toaster with a fart horn
I wouldn't have it any other way!
You mean you've fought against AColonelofCorn? Lol, he flies around farting on folks all daylong
Did not know that(new player). Explains all the big wide scaffolding builds. Happy they are changing that.
It's going to be a brave new world, one way or another =P
It’s staying on super heavy builds
I'm a relatively new player, so I wonder how these changes will affect builds, will spaced armor be a thing of the past?
Will spaced armor disappear? No.

Wait, you would rather they add or change how damage types work when affecting armor than remove the 7 pin rule?
so to be clear the only thing getting changed is the bullet passthrough part? The 7-pin rule still applies?
To be clear: No - the pin rule is what is going away, thus making the bullet passthrough ineffective at blocking damage.
I'm confused on the passthrough change
Damage will no longer propagate 7 pins, but it will propagate over and infinite distance.
@@cardboardninja2429 will that change gun mounting or is passthrough still one of the best things to use
Gun mounting should not be affected by this change - passthrough parts still take 90% less damage, which is where you want your guns.

Does it change if the target is moving towards or away from you
No, but it DOES change if you are at an angle - because penetration is done in measurable distance.
So if you are at 45 degrees it's not 7 "pins" because everything is a block, it's closer to 4.
@@cardboardninja2429 so it’s essentially going 4 pins deep and also 3 pins up thus 7 pins on an angle vs 7 pins deep 0 pins up when shot level
Well it's going 2 meters (which happens to be 7 pins), so 2 meters into a build coming at it from 45 degrees is basically moving only 75% as deep.
