sorry to be off topic but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
@Theodore Coen I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
but , during the 'free end' one , while the spring is connected to a string , the string acts as another medium and the wave is tranmitted to string , then it hits the fixed end , and THEN is reflected back , as per what I think
I used a flexible metallic spring made specially for this purpose. You can try a slinky or any long flexible elastic cord (my guess is thicker and fatter is better). Just tie one end to any fixed object to achieve the fixed end.
Now I confirm that at last no particle be excited so because of elastic behaviour of wire and Max inertia all particles the wave comes back and change their phase
I did that at home when i was a kid tie a rope to a heavy armchair and then go far back and move my hand.the result was a wave both horizontally and vertically
There's just something so satisfying about this!

@Colton Genesis instablaster ;)

@Theodore Coen it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my account :D
@Colton Genesis glad I could help :D
An amazing demonstration. Thank you very much! It helps to make the concept of reflection much clearer
Yay. Glad to be of help.
Whenever wave travels from rarer to denser medium, there is phase change of pie... clearly, demonstrated 😊😊😊
Regardless of the degree of this "change in density". Thats absurd
The string is a paid actor
Definitely
Absolutely
Mất dạy vừa thôi
no doubt
A string walks into a bar...
Fantastic demonstration of the phase shift (or the lack of) upon reflection
Thank you very much. This really helped me to visualize phase change upon reflection😊
whoa whoa THIS WAS thought in waves chapter you showed it in real, NOW IAM SATISFIED, YOU ARE GREAT MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Neet or jee?
@@devangib3968 class 11
I was reading reflection and transmission on wave nd this video cleared my doubts properly 😍
Didi, you were reading class 11 Wave Mechanics(Cbse) right?😁
I was also doing the same😅
Superb demonstration! Just makes physics so relatable in an instant
Very good demonstration that shows the difference between smooth reflection and rough reflection....
Thanks a lot! Showing it in slo-mo was also a really good choice.
i was just studying waves in a vibrating column and this helped me clear why an antinode is formed at an open end of organ pipe
but , during the 'free end' one , while the spring is connected to a string , the string acts as another medium and the wave is tranmitted to string , then it hits the fixed end , and THEN is reflected back , as per what I think
Here your hand works as a fixed end that's why there is a phase difference of 180°.
thanks bro , you have cleared my confusion
This was so helpful! Wish we had more demonstrations in our class...
is this high school physics in your country?
@@cesarnsanchez in India it is
In which country u studyin
@@cesarnsanchez 9th class then 11th physics.
@@cesarnsanchez why do you ask?
Best video ever watched
Thank you so much for this demonstration!
Love the bird sounds 😂
This makes my brain tingle
Marvelous..from a long time I had doubt about open boundary
Niceee, first time seeing this as a real practical
手元にデルタ関数できてますね。
羨ましいです。
The termination doesn't have a matched impedance to the line impedance
Really love it..
Thanks for this amazing video🤗
Love this! Keep posting!
It helped in solving some of the qs😍killer visuals..... thankyou
glad you made this video man🙇♂🙇♂
Is loose end equivalent to a open circuit and fixed end equivalent to short?
OMG Best video!! Now I finally understand wave reflections :D Creator please have my babies!
Cleared my concepts
Thank u very much very much beneficial for understanding the concept by seeing this
just like sound it travels at a set speed and reflects back from a mind to another mind
In case of loose end inversion doesnt happen but in case of fixed end onversion takes placee ❤❤❤ so satisfying🎉🎉😊
Best demo thanku so much
Thank you very much....
amazing i really get feel what equation i made in wave ....thanxs😀
Perfect.
Now show the correct termination.
I'm dead sure it exists, similar to 50 Ohm termination resistors in electrical / HF equipment
looks hella fun I need this
I need something to clarify the difference between aspect of a rope and it's Elongation at certain time. Maybe sharing a video with me, ty
So, does the loose end need to be a certain length?
Amazing!!! Wonderful
wow impedance discontinuity makes reflection 😮
Thank you very much! Please keep it up.
Saleem sir❤
I love doing it on ziplines (if my friend knows i'll do it lol) it comes back so much later and you can do different patterns
Boy lives in the zoo
Nah probably just a tropical area with a lot of birds
Amazing dude ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks dude 🔥🔥
So what happens if it's a little loose? Will it just absorb the wave?
For the free end, you tied the slinky with a light rope, right?
What thing was you tied with the light rope in the other end?
I simply tied it to the tap, same spot where I tied the fixed end to.
@@xmphysics Thanks!
great video, Thanks
Really amazing and helpful 👍
thanks for demonstration
Plzz tell what is the correct eqn for reflected wave... My book is confusing me
Helped me so much!
beauty of science!
Thank you
And show one where it is reflected back but stays in the same side.
what if there are 2 loose ends?
What type of rope is this?
Such a cool demonstration, fixed end still hurts my brain though
Can anyone tell me if it's displacement wave or pressure wave??? I think it is displacement wave but am I right
Can someone tell me what rope did this dude used?
thanks for the video
pls show standing wave thx
Amazing!!
Why there is no damping?
Excellent
very nice sir ;; this topic are very amezing killer vizuligetion
Why does it do that?
Can someone please say what are the materials required for this experiment? Like what kind of string is used? And what is the fixed end( rigid body)?
I used a flexible metallic spring made specially for this purpose. You can try a slinky or any long flexible elastic cord (my guess is thicker and fatter is better). Just tie one end to any fixed object to achieve the fixed end.
@@xmdemo Thank you so much! This experiment really helped me a lot.
Display electric in wire moving.
Thanks!!😁
Well done
Now I confirm that at last no particle be excited so because of elastic behaviour of wire and Max inertia all particles the wave comes back and change their phase
What is the material of this rope?
It is a metallic slinky.
Spring wire
I did that at home when i was a kid tie a rope to a heavy armchair and then go far back and move my hand.the result was a wave both horizontally and vertically
Which is the material used?
Awesome
Yo
thanks bro
macam mana nak buat?
Fantastic
woowow this was amazing
doubt cleared!
So this is why end resistors exist.
I spent the entire video trying to figure out what the ‘loose end’ was attached to lol (it’s another string tied to the ceiling I believe)
Interesting phenom
woah, it's exactly like in the diagrams...
Amazing🔥
This is what happens on a mismatched transmission line
Amazing
OP!! subbed
is this a high school class or college?
We call it junior college here. It is pre-university, year 11 and 12.
@@xmdemo awesome. I wish I had this in my country. Greetings from Dominican Republic. Stay safe.
@@cesarnsanchez In Kurdistan Iraq, we study this in the last grade "Grade 12" of school which is high school, the next level is college.
Highschool
thanku bro
Ahmazing!
page not found in the link from the description :(
Because I have not found the time to write the page yet. Sorry. But it "will be" there. I just don't know when.
Ok done. Thanks for pushing me. But I am really really busy.
oh, thank you!
Thank you!
This is elastic energy so not a reflection
We need double loose ends
Path difference is 180 degree 😉 i can see clearly
