- I have been visiting Amritsar for the last 11 years and I always try a new kulcha shop. According to me these are the best places to have Kulchas
1- Monu Kulcha in Loharka road is a little out of main city and mostly visited by Locals. The Price of each kulcha is around Rs 40

2 - Phelwan /kulcha is in old city and is a true meaning of punjabi food cooked in ghee

It is bit of a shame that food vloggers do not go to other parts of Punjab. E.g. Jagraon, Moga, Faridkot, Ferozpur etc. that is known as "Malwa belt". There people will serve you a food with lots of home churned butter and Ghee. Chicken and goat meat dishes as well. And not to forget home brewed triple. 😂

As a foodie I would like too write and tell people that dalda is very harmful in comparison to desi ghee.
Desi ghee may increase the level of bad cholesterol whereas dalda increases the level of bad cholesterol as well as reduces the level of good cholesterol. It's very important to know that high consumption of dalda may lead to serious heart problems.
So this kulcha is not suggested.
I am from Amritsar n eating kulcha since my childhood.. Never ever I hve experienced anything weird after hving it. So pls don't suggest dese things wn Ur nt aware of it
See, if a particular thing is unhealthy it is unhealthy. If u want you can google it and know the proper process of making of both the products.

1. Pehlwan da kulcha near darbar sahib
2. Brothers dhaba( if you don’t like rerdis and all)
3. Kulcha land in chehhartta
Tons of other places are good and authentic but this is just not how the real ambarsari kulchas are done

Bhai ! No local foodie in AMRITSAR eats at MONU KULCHA HUT. It's the most overhyped shop running thanks to the commissioned taxi drivers who bring tourists there. If you want to experience really nice kulchas, you can go to ASHOK KUMAR (Ranjit Avenue).
PLEASE avoid overrated places like Kulcha Land as well.
