@Yael Jad I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Joel, great video and information...You must be one of BMW’s biggest fans...They should be supporting your channel...Your enthusiasm and your loyalty to the brand is boosting their sales. I do like the sound of your Z4.
Great video Joel. I watched all your videos prior to getting my Zed 4. They were very informative. You mentioned something that a lot of people assume incorrectly, the cost of an E85. I got an extremely good deal on mine. My father-in-law bought a Tesla and asked if I was interested in the Zed 4. I jumped on it and he gave me a deal I could not pass on. I got the car for half of its market value, so I paid $4000 US dollars for it. On top of that, it only had 55,000 miles on the clock. It is a 2003 E85, so it lacks a lot of the nice face lift stuff, but it does have cup holders... Sorry. I look forward to driving it every day. Thanks for all you do and a big hello from California.
I'm workin' hard to reach some things ( and pay doubts , obviousley) and having one of these cool cars is one of them , and you sharing yourself enjoying your car inspire me a lot . Greetings from Chile .
Hey Joel, thanks for the video. I bought a 2004 Z4 3.0 standard 6 speed in Canada 2 years ago for 14 G. The mileage now is at 60 k miles and I love it!Yes, I think the steering wheel is awesome.
I'm 14, can't wait to buy and drive one of these! Though i'll have to wait a few years... The quality on your videos are amazing! You should have much more subs!
I have a car with paddle shifters and it is nowhere near the same. Pressing on a clutch pedal and shifting gears with a stick is wayyyyyyy more satisfying. I never use my optional paddle shifting mode.
Hey Joel! I replaced the rear tires on my Z4 E89 35i to non-runflat ones. The front ones are still runflats. It's terrible! So wobbly and unstable. What do you think I should do? Thanks mate keep up the content!
I think the tyre pressures are important here, non runflats are stiff but replacing with normal tyres will improve the ride but the tyre pressures need to be spot on. I will stick with runflats because I’m used to them and have experienced a blow out with a car with no spare and the foam stuff and it was very poor, only just made it to a tyre dealer.
You need to get a new rear BMW emblem mate, yours is all worn out.. I'm driving a 2010 E89 30i for over a year now and I love it.. This video got me thinking about the exhaust mod you did for even better sound, I might do the same to mine..
Yeah, here in the US the z4 runs around 8-10k for higher mileage options in good shape. But for me at least, the insurance on one is cheaper than a Honda Civic.
getting rid of the backbox not only sounds good, but you also got rid of around 20 kilos or so. that muffler is pretty heavy, iirc. probably some extra ponies as well.
12:56 Left hand Drive! Just acquired ab automatic Z4 Cab in black! Know you have moved on but love it and love your videos, regarding it! Many thanks my friend for having taken the time to post and educate us! Looking to change my rims but recognise that isn't as easy as just going and buying a set off eBay! Like the deep dish Work Seeker FX 18 inch in Silver! Any thoughts would be welcomed regarding fit or less expensive alternatives! Cheers! Like and subscribed!
Your gas mileage is interesting. My Z is an auto and the best gas available for it is 91 octane with 10% ethanol. On a trip you described, I'd get about 28 mpg @ 75 mph.
Joel, sub from the US here - great content. The MPG you mention is almost hard to believe its so good. I was wondering why you are referring in terms of miles when you would be using KM in Europe?
Took my BMW convertible down to the South of France a month ago, it’s not a Z4 though, just a 120d M Sport, but it was great fun and didn’t hang about when I wanted some fun
Hi Joel. Love your videos and have wanted to buy a z4 for a long time. A few years ago I ended up with a mk1 audi tt roadster as couldn't stretch enough for a z4. I hope to get one soon. I keep being drawn to the facelift 3ltr which I know is more money than pre facelift. Have you driven one, I guess it's the more power as standard that I'm drawn to. Great to hear your opinion plus I know most people not so bothered with high milage but I have always stayed away from cars over 100k when buying I guess it's person preference
@@itsjoel brill thanks for your advice yeah I really want to get one always loved them. Have you driven the facelift ones 2006 onwards they have 265bhp
Richard Thornhill, The car cover I am using now YITAMOTOR Universal Fit Car Cover All Weather Breathable Full Waterproof Antiscratch Heat Sun UV Snow Rain Dust Wind Resistant with Lock Outdoor Indoor (Fits up to 188 Inches, PEVA, Dark Blue) ...........IS NOT THE BEST.I was just looking for a new one earlier today.
One thing I love about my Z4, now the dark nights are just starting, the original back lights look awesome (circular almost ferrari like), why would anyone want to upgrade? They look so much better than the led ones.
I'm 58 and from the UK but live in NZ. Here almost all are autos which is such a shame. I worked for BMW as a tech for many years. I have a 2007 mSport E61 530i auto which is in fantastic condition as no rust here and only about 60k miles. I would not want a manual with that but a Z4 I'd really love a manual. I am looking to replace my old Barina(Corsa) with a drop head that won't ruin the bank hence the view. I get around 32mpg on the open road and BMW have always been good on fuel. BMWs are like moody women however as complain about everything as in......My battery is tired so the world is about to end so PLEASE listen to me!!!! No its just a battery dear. You gotta admit though a moody women is the most interesting ;)
next uprage shoudl be DISA, then oil separator, then cosmetic stuffs, your car is ... "cheap" i mean your emelems are scratched, your gearshiter is scatched... do you love this car, or you jsut use this car ?
I was happy to accept some of the cosmetic scuffs to get the car I wanted to drive at the right price. I’m not all about appearance, I just love driving the car. As said in the video, I’ve ordered a new shifter.
I just bought a 2004 z4 2.5i that had 42,700 miles on it in Missouri. I live in Oklahoma but 2 hour away worth it as in Excellent condition. I kept my suv but wanted a fun car. It definitely runs great and is so cute. Will always be a low mileage car. My full coverage 500 deductible insurance $230 year. It is the only one like it around. Love it
Love you’re channel Joel. Great work love the way you praise the Z4 for it’s sound, brilliant smooth gear box and value for money. I have a 2.5 Z4 and love it. It’s an amazing car. Keep doing great reviews. Best Andy

at this price point, agreed. Thanks Andy!

18" mv2
There the ones I’m lookin for 👀
Take a look at the z4 5 spoke split alloys, you can have two colours on them
A set of 19inch Japan Racing wheels for the Zed lad!look class

Very new to my first e85 z4. Absolutely love your videos Joel 👊
Hey Joel! I replaced the rear tires on my Z4 E89 35i to non-runflat ones. The front ones are still runflats. It's terrible! So wobbly and unstable.
What do you think I should do? Thanks mate keep up the content!
Get a full set of non RFTs!
Get the runflats back the tires of meant to have no flex in them on the 35i, with none runflats the tyres flex too much making the handling awful
Thanks everybody!

Yeah, here in the US the z4 runs around 8-10k for higher mileage options in good shape. But for me at least, the insurance on one is cheaper than a Honda Civic.
Wow, quite expensive - but you’re insurance prices are a massive bonus!
On all of these older Z4s the headlights are foggy, it is an easy and cheap fix and improves the looks a lot.
It’s actually quite a pain to fix 😂 I’ve tried

What is the name of that diagnostic computer that you recommended in a few of your videos
In the same video you initially tell us that the clutch is heavy and then when talking about the gearbox, you say that it is light.
I do like the steering wheel on my Z4M too.
Your gas mileage is interesting. My Z is an auto and the best gas available for it is 91 octane with 10% ethanol. On a trip you described, I'd get about 28 mpg @ 75 mph.
Interesting. We have 99 over here, perhaps the manual is more economical too.
Just purchased 3 litre with bluetooth how do you pair this with mobile ..BTW great drive ..even when pissing it down
Bro you have such an awesome channel, we need to promote youuuuu
Please do! Haha
I was wondering if you drove the 2ltr? And if so, how did it compare.....
Well done Joel! Honest feedback and great rhetoric. Loved the camera shots over your right shoulder as well 🙌🏾
Thanks Philip!
hey so I'm 15 I'm about to get my licence would the Z4 be a good car to get?
My dream car
dreams can come true mate !
nice content!
playerzoma thanks dude!
My z4 has the sport seats, I would highly recommend them
Joel, sub from the US here - great content. The MPG you mention is almost hard to believe its so good. I was wondering why you are referring in terms of miles when you would be using KM in Europe?
Us brits are weird. We go between metric and imperial units for certain things..
I struggle to get 25 mpg on mine 🤔🤔 and I do not drive it hard but I do drive alot in traffic any pointers to improve the mpg??
Don’t brake unnecessarily, use gear 6 as much as possible and always the least amount of throttle input possible
Use higher octane fuel. Makes a difference!
I use 99 most of the time 👍🏻👍🏻
What is the song he is using in the video?
All my music is from epidemic sound
Hey joel, I hve a question for you: is the z4 e85 more stiff and crashy than the 350z?
Not sure, haven’t spent enough time in a 350z to say

Thanks mate
A video on how your dad gets on with his z4 would be fun to watch :)
I’ll see if he’s up for doing it 👍🏻

Ok thanks Laura ,I have also recently been told the Z4 cover zone outdoor covers are also good quality and last along time 👍
Hi joel, im looking for a subtile spoiler for my z4. I do have the luggage rack mounts on the boot and i would like it to be in that place, any ideas?
To be honest Ashley, never really looked into it. Might be one for the Z4 forum 👍🏻

I have a spoiler on my Z4
You can have look on my Instagram if you like

I’m prefer the E85 rear lights, but prefer the e86 clear fronts
Yeah I totally agree, there are some well known chinese companies doing pairs of modded fronts for about £155 quid, must admit i've been tempted.
could you take a snowboard with you in the Z4 ???
you’d probably just about get it in the boot yes
How do you manage 30mpg average?? I daily my coupe and get 20😭
I don’t know! Efficient driving i guess!
It's Joel fair enough! Unfortunately work a 8-5 so traffic doesn’t help me haha
Yeah. Always going to be tricky in traffic!
I get 36 in my 2.5 (vs 33 in my 325i touring), cruise control helps a lot. Plus I never do short journeys with a cold engine.
Good point. I have cruise control too, definitely helps to avoid unnecessary braking/acceleration
Silnik 3.0 231???
Ideal rim and tire width any one ever got away with in the car?
Awesome vid didnt knew the old z4 sounded this guuud 😁 i might just get one to learn to drift etc
Are you using run flat tyres?
No, I’m on conventional ones 👍🏻
What is the name of exhaust sistem?
It doesn’t have an exhaust system, I just got the backbox (rear muffler/silencer removed :)
@@itsjoel i have a z4 3.0 s.i. and i don't want lose hp, it sure remove the rear silencer?

How Many Miles/km has it?
135000 miles!
