The producers missed a trick here. When we had the engineering scenes, and the 2 blokes starting talking about Helen after she had passed them, they should have got 2 ex cast member (ex pupils) to play the role as a cameo. If the factory was local then it would be fairly believable that ex-pupils were working there. Perhaps Alan and Benny? Or Stebson and one of his cronies?
The Bronson/Kendall storyline was actually really stupid. They spent two series developing Danny and Bronson's relationship; following Bronson going OTT with Ant Jones, he and Danny understood one another, were arguably even friends, and Bronson showed Danny a rare human side of him. Then in this series suddenly he hated Danny and had no understanding of him? It was unfair on Bronson's character, and a bad writing decision. And now the redemption arc is dumb cos he straight up drove a student to his death. A real disappointing final story arc for such a great character.
There's even a bit following Danny's death where Bronson says that if he'd known he was still ill, he'd have made exceptions. He DID know that, he displays knowledge of that throughout the entirety of series 11, and actively did make exceptions for Danny. They should've had a new teacher responsible for Danny's death, with Bronson taking it real hard and softening after losing a kid he'd previously been at odds with but had later come to majorly respect. The whole bit where he ruined Danny's work experience was stupidly out of character for Bronson - he's ALWAYS displayed support for enthusiastic students, even at his most stuffy.
