Hi Ninetails! - Yorick jg main here: I have 2 starts I do for camps. I do your old wolves start and cross mid at 2:23-2:25 consistently. I also start raptors, clear to krugs and recall for a longsword (with ghouls AD ratio it basically makes it 2 long swords worth of AD. I’ve tested both, and with raptor start by 5 minutes I’ll have 7.6-7.8cs/min, whereas starting wolves, I’ll have 7.2cs/min. This lets me fight enemy jg on scuttle with about 20 extra AD with max ghouls / defend an invade. With this I can also gank with more dmg. I also do your blue side into red into enemy blue invade / gank as well sometimes. I’ve had success with both just wanted to mention since you said you didn’t mean to start raps ❤
I've actually just spent the past 40 minutes in practice tool testing raptor start clears. I definitely think top team needs to start raptors because the bot lane gank is ideal in almost all scenarios, and it doesn't really fit to path upwards only to recall because a top side invade/gank isn't worth it. I'll test out a few more, the recall inclusion is SUPER interesting and i've tried it before but never found it overly useful.
@@NinetalesOCE I know what you mean, and pathing upwards isn't ideal, but the way I get around that is after recalling on krugs from rap start, I head bot to either a gank or blue / gromp then scuttle / bot skirmish. Then once things settle down i go wolves, clear into raptors and krugs, recall, walk bot into a gank with freshly spent gold again. you are much higher rank than I am so you're just better but this has been really helping me climb :) I’ve also noticed that because you recall before the enemy jg, as long as I recall at proper times, I often have spent gold while enemy has not spend gold. Your tempo is offset by 1 recall instance. It’s a bit different tempo wise but once I got used to it, I absolutely love raptor start on topside. Starting blueside on top map you path away from bot anyways, so with raps start you get a gank timing as if you cleared straight down but you have more tempo. I typically do blue side start on bottom map tho Checked my opgg, and my top map winrate is actually 8% higher than my bottom map winrate if that means anything. Sry for so much to read, but I love your content and you've helped me improve so much at the game
I do raptors for 4 ghouls. Its slow… but it does the job to be at scuttle on time and go for a gank while 4-5 ghouls finishing blue. I need to learn the wolves start some day, but it seems hard to me T_T
@@TuxujPes if you’d like we could add each other and hop in practice. I can show you wolves start so you cross mid by 2:25, and I can walk you through fast raptor start. My personal best full clear with wolves start is 3:07, but that’s really hard to do consistently but 3:20-3:25 full clear is easy with some practice :)
@@titancat2487 Any chance you could upload a video of your 2:25 cross mid clear? Or just all of your jungle clears - it helps seeing all input. What runes too, because that matters a lot towards speed.
I loved watching your thought process at the end of the 2nd game. I know you're usually going the zeal route, so it's nice to see the point of conversion between the builds, so to speak.
I don't think i ever tested trinity second after all. I ended up going zeal immediately and that became best in slot. I still need to try trinity, but the next few videos are the trinity rush variation of this which i think is just better.

Yorick legend. also that Maokai at the beginning walking into your ring and then the FIora flashes out hahaha tf also what about flicker blades, do Yoricks ghouls work with the basic ability cd on attack after the update?
The difference between 5 and 10 joat stacks is 9AD and 5ah. Is it really worth commiting around 1.5k gold into components for 550g worth of bonus stats from joat? With cleaver -> mercs u are already at 6 joat stacks. Wouldn't it be better to continue building normally (shojin, liandry, etc) and hitting 10 joat stacks naturally later into the build? I just feel like delaying shojin by 1.5k gold isn't worth for 9ad and 4AH.
@@babyclay808 You’d laugh but back in season 7, it was actually a core build for us. I used to do Youmuus + Warrior enchantment + RFC and bonk people from afar. It’s a great item, just a weird one to slot in - i think you can run anything on this champion and make it work tbh lol.
You definitely can - the problem is i don't like going youmuus because it feels too squishy as a second item. Normally your pickup there would just give 1 extra stat, in that case the dorans is needed for full stacks. Right now i've opted for zeal but there are many variations you can do.
@@TuxujPes The main focus on jack is to compensate for being able to buy “non yorick items” and not get punished that much. In reality, it’s probably not a big reason that the wins are happening - i think that’s much more likely tied to the fact that its forcing me to buy tier 2 boots early and my map mobility is up/im more impactful as a result. I ended up swapping out of Jack recently to go for ultimate hunter and it’s literally the exact same, the early tier 2 boots changes everything.
Instead of buying Doran's Blade late in the game, can't you buy a book for 400? (AP) I don't know the calculations nor if it'll change the adaptive force 🤷 also do these calcs account for AD gained on level? (I assume yes but thought I would ask) I just feel like if its possible to buy a component of an item would be best on gold spent rather than buying a "starting" item like Doran's Blade.

I was actually trying Cleaver>Trinity with JoAT I can say it felt pretty solid. Those two items always work well together.
Watching your yorick joat has me wondering about this build on shyvana. Sounds good in theory
