What an amazing explanation! Can you please tell me which of the varieties is the one that we hear about as a longevity herb and anti cancer drugs that it has ? All the prayers from India 🇮🇳 Stay safe
You mentioned several technical points that I do not understand. What is vernation and what is it used for in echinacea? Also, what is the EC rate and why is this important for over-wintering or otherwise? Thank you for a very help video. Dr Michael J ELINSKI East Hampton, NY zone 7
Hello! In plant production, vernalization is putting a plant through a cold period to force dormancy. This process naturally occurs when growing a plant outdoors or in the landscape, but not often in a year-round greenhouse. Vernalization is frequently beneficial to a plant's vigor and the number of blooms it will produce in the spring. To learn more about the importance of pH and EC levels in the soil, I would recommend checking out our Soil Testing video. Link: th-cam.com/video/YlN8BoeNnaQ/w-d-xo.html Great questions!
then I googled pour through in plants and found this: www.css.cornell.edu/courses/260/Media%20testing.pdf ....hope this helps. I have one of those pink poufy plants left - planted it a long time ago, and hope to find it again this year. I wonder what the name is for that plant.
Hlo sir I am manufacturer of Echinacea purpurea extract in India uttrakhand hill areas. We are growing it naturally in our individual fields.do you need?
Echinacea does not need to be dug up and 'stored' in a greenhouse over winter at 38 degrees. Echinacea grows in the wild with no help from humans and tolerate long periods of frozen grounds and come right back up next spring. After watching your video I would never ever buy this plant because you made it sound like a nightmare to care for. Anybody can grow this and more people should because Goldfinches (which are declining in numbers in the U.S.) feed on echinacea seeds. Also, Bumblebees like to take naps on the cones. Don't deadhead!
Thank you for the information. I planted them in a wild area for the pollinators. After watching, I'm not sure I would've bothered to buy the plant, but they're already in the ground, and I hope they do well.
I’m ready to plant seeds for the first time. Another video explained that these are simple prairie plants and pretty much foolproof. This video is extremely complicated and not really helpful. Search a different one.
This video is for ppl w Green houses growing for profit. Buy some and just put them in the grownd. They require little care. You can spread them by splitting The roots and planting. 1 stem and root will become a bunch over a few years.
Gorgeous flowers and extremely helpful video! Thanks
Your flowers are gorgeous. Thank you

He didn't show that species abc abc. It is the common, wild one, called Echinacea purpurea

Could someone tell me what is "EC of 1.5-2 using the pour through method" mean? Thank you!

so pretty
Good video, except for the terrible noise. It is almost not possible to understand what you are saying.
What is that noise in the background , sounds like a hoover, very annoying.
Sounds complicated 😕 etc. Discouraging. Disappointed 😞.
