The ending with saving Tombo also shows how what she thought her value was or her purpose ( being able to fly) was really just a tool to her greater purpose; stepping up and being there for people. She is called to put aside her own fears, insecurities and self doubt for what truly mattered to her. Her relationships.
First of all hope you do become a professional writer man, love this breakdown about Kiki and the passion for your project I def want to check this out since like you said it communicates this through children’s story great video man
Thanks man, I appreciate all your kind words! And yeah I’d love to hear what you think, it’s a very important movie that means a lot to me and I think you’ll get a lot out of it
Bro this is wild. Last time you talked about a Ghibli movie after I saw it in theaters. And here we are again. (Also I love this movie, easy top ten movies of all time for me)
Haha, I’m glad to have a returning viewer! I plan on making a video about every Miyazaki film that’s getting re-released for Ghibli fest so look forward to more coming soon!
During lockdown I would watch this movie 3 times a day just in the background of me doing what I needed to do, ironically I have never related more to the core of the story than now
I'm gonna rewatch this movie, a couple days ago I watched Howl's moving castle so it's Kiki's turn now ❤ I don't remember it much what I do remember though is how good it was at depicting things like depression and the struggles of growing up
Glad I could get you to rewatch! And yeah like I said, for a children’s movie, it somehow manages to be so realistic in terms of its depiction of depression, so it’s a film that means a lot to me. Let me know what you think
Amazing video. It really came to me in a time I really needed to hear this, I’ve watched Kiki’s delivery service so many times and never captured this much meaning. It’s time for a rewatch!
It’s been a while since I’ve seen this movie and holy shit you gave me a whole new perspective. I definitely want to watch it again with that in mind. Great video❤
...why cant i find MY inspiration though..? i rewatched all Ghibli movies in an attempt to find it... but failed. i noticed more on this rewatch but... not the desire.. i want to be an artist and even animator someday... i cant get myself to even start today.. it kinda hurts in a way..
