We deeply appreciate everything you have done. The tragic history and suffering inflicted on the Chinese people by Japanese militarism are now little known. Japanese history textbooks refer to the "Nanjing Massacre" merely as the "Nanjing Incident," completely avoiding mention of Japan's invasion of China. Instead, they portray Japan solely as a victim of atomic bombings, without reflecting on why those bombs were dropped in the first place.
To this day, the world sees only the strength of China’s military, but only the Chinese people truly understand that a nation without a strong defense is left with nothing but endless humiliation and war reparations. This is a lesson the Chinese learned as far back as the late Qing Dynasty.

I don't remember how many times I said this recently: Jimmy Carter was a good man. As a Chinese I deeply respect him.
We are all taught about the Flying Tigers in our primary school. We are not just grateful to those brave, kind American soldiers, we love them.
Our country was too impoverished and chaotic to take good care of John Rabe and Minnie Vautrin. Our regret is one of the reasons we are trying to be good to you. Never again shall we miss out the opportunity to repay those who are good to us.
But that is only ONE of many reasons. Another reason is that you are a really good person. Like how you handle the memorial day for the victims of Nanking Massacre. I see your post on X raising awareness of this tragedy. The comment section is effectively a playground for all kinds of cyber bully. But you didn't back down. At the same time you were solemnly quiet on Chinese social media, even though talking about this on Chinese social media can earn you tons of clicks and likes and exposure. You chose to do the right thing instead of the safe & profitable thing. For this I salute you!

I visited the Memorial Hall during a school trip in high school. I still remember that several teachers and students (including myself) really cried during the visit. Really appreciate your respect to our history and your contribution to world peace ❤ Enjoy your stay in China, stay warm and have fun! Chinese New Year is really a true experience ❤❤❤

Mr. Kail, I would like to recommend a movie called The Flowers of War to you. It tells the story of a cynical American man who becomes righteous and responsible after the Nanjing Massacre and saves the lives of a dozen Chinese girls from Japanese atrocities. The film is based on a lot of real events, and I think the hero has a lot in common with you. Although we have different nationalities and languages and are separated by vast distances, our goodness and justice are always linked. Thank you again for your service to my people. --A Chinese who grew up on the anti-Japanese front pays tribute to you

The English translation of "anti Japanese" isn't as accurate in Chinese it's more "defence against", that implication is a *huge* difference in translation. Thank you for your visit, the recognition and being a window for the world to view through and to learn about the massacre 🙏🏼
