curved sections are much stronger than box sections for a given thickness of material. thats how an egg is strong,, if the same eggshell was a cube you could push your finger through any face of it.. plus,,,, curved sections have the least hydrodynamic drag for a given volume hull. its win win.. A little longer build time ,granted.
