    So, according to this, Heard Island has a height of 2745 Kilometers and wind gusts up to 33 Km/hr. That would make the island 1705 miles high with winds of approx 18 mph. Too high to actually exist, and not all that windy. Does anyone proof this stuff before it is published?

      He narrates for a couple of other channels also, so you’ll have to check those off you list too. I admit his voice is irritating, especially since all,of the videos he narrates are full of bunches of filler to make them longer for more ads and better algorithm score.
      Even worse, every one of the videos he narrates show video clips that have little to nothing to do with the subject and often times never show a clip from the story they are covering.
      They are obviously all corporate videos with assembly line productions and most of their information is poorly researched, since they are full of errors in the script. This narrator must just be some narrator for hire.
      It’s a mystery why so many different channels hire him to irritate their audience with his voice, which is even more irritating when delivering information that is flat out wrong, yet he delivers it like fact. I think that burns my ass even worse.

    #OddTopic I visited hidden beach in Mexico a couple years ago then did a private scuba tour of the island. Its shut down to allow for the native regeneration of the beach and foliage as part of a conservation project as last I heard. I was glad to get to experience it before It shut down. I believe Jacques Cousteau discovered the chain while chasing the Blue footed Boobie ( not joking ) amny years ago. The eco system and birds are amazing to hear about.

    • @suzannebrown2505
      @suzannebrown2505 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nicotopcat: I could tell you that there is virtually no way you could ever find a centipede on your face. But, even as a baby boomer, I won’t lie to you, as I have seen a centipede in the flesh, when, in my early 30’s, newly divorced and living in a small newly created apartment in Hackensack, New Jersey at the time, I saw one at night as it crawled up the wall next to my bed. Oh my God! ALL THOSE LEGS! After starting to panic, I got a bunch of paper towels and quickly smashed it! With no help, except from myself, I sent it to wherever nasty insects go when they die and flushed it down the toilet. Thank God, I have never seen one again. There are lots more biting and stinging bugs on the East Coast and Midwest and South than there are insects in the Northwest, where I live now, most likely due the excessive heat and humidity in the summer. I was in my early 30s when this happened, but I can still picture the incident in my mind. Yeeccccchhh!!!

    Mawson Peak, the highest part of Big Ben, the volcano on Heard Island, has an altitude of 2745 metres, not kilometres. Olympus Mons on Mars, the highest planetary mountain in the solar system, is only 26km high. Heard Island is difficult to get to but you can easily get permits to go there from the Australian Antarctic Division.

    This was weak, a waste of 22 minutes. Just about every place he showed could be visited with conditions. And he failed to mention the North and South Poles proper. You can never fly over the poles and planes are always routed away from them. And the fact that pretty much every country in the world has signed a treaty to ensure that Antarctica (South Pole) will never be developed in spite of being inundated with a wealth of natural resources. This as per Admiral Richard Byrd. Makes you go Hmmmm.
