I'm glad I bought a Big Mom deck last year just because I like her but had no intention to play and here I am over a year later actually getting into the game after playing in the 15-20 starter deck tournament over the weekend. I have most of what I need to make my Katakuri deck good. Just waiting on some Perosperos and Beges.
@JoyBoysTCG I'm going to be collecting all the starter decks because I like how they look like manga when they're in a row on a shelf. Especially the English decks because of the deck number design. Already have 7-20, except for 13. Wish I started sooner since the older ones are about $30 a piece but better late than never.
No Brulee Blockers? Or blockers period for that matter? That's the big difference I have in mine. I also dont have any 6 moms just 4 7's and 4 10's Been having a ton of fun in close matches with Doffy and RP Luffy at locals!
Regarding using “you’re the one who should disappear” how can katekuri leader ability help with that trigger? I thought the leader ability only controls your opponents life cards not your own. Please correct me if I’m wrong as I’m genuinely curious if I’ve been playing this deck wrong 😂 Also love your guys videos! 🙌
I immediately take this back. I see on the card now it says your or your opponents life cards. I have watched this video 10 times and still been playing this deck wrong since release 😂😂😂😂😂
4:11 Card count for the decklist is incorrect. There is only 48 cards, there should be 50 total. I assume there's 2 puddings you didn't include (or 2 events).
I think it's the new pudding should be 4 or the sovereignty, sourced it from OPTD since it was worked on a few weeks ago must've been incorrectly posted there/never updated
Actually having a 2nd copy of 6c Linlin is very valuable since it adds more pressure to your opponent. The new 5c blocker Katakuri is also super good. Basically, you only need to buy 1 Katakuri starter since you get the full play set of 3c Brulee as well as 2 of each Kata + Linlin as they're very good for Katakuri Deck in general.
@@Sm4sher-Vader gotcha, I was just basing this on the level 3 upgrade they had that was on the video 😂 I’m super curious on the katakuri gameplay. Maybe I’ll dabble on it down the line for sure 💯
hi! Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! Generally most structure decks get phased out of a top tier version of the build reason being that there is much better card selection. In fact, most competitive and veteran players will often times but two of a structure deck just to future proof their card selection for deck building in the future. For our particular guide we took you through the levels of upgrade from the perspective of someone who bought the deck and wanted to keep at it. If at the end you saw we didn't actually keep much of the deck you started playing with, then you might make an informed opinion on your purchase. By all means, take as many cards from the structure deck you want and put them into your own level 3 deck. But if you were looking for how much of it stays from someone who has mined katakuri for quite sometime now, this is my honest opinion and thoughts on the matter. - Luke
@@JoyBoysTCG thanks for the reply! And further explanation as someone who is super new (two weeks new) 😂I thank you for this deep insight to know the value of the deck for someone like me. This one was on the bottom of my list to get and it will prolly stay there for now. I’m super interested in kata but in no rush in learning another leader. Great vid and these types of vids help us noobs out here 🫡 thank you!
I call it the smash bros if card games. Very easy to play and have fun while still winning against your hardcore friends. But if you wanna get serious there's an iceberg of skill and competitiveness to explore

Coming soon!!
Bro tossed basically the entire deck out 😂

So 😂 the reason to get the new starter deck is a playset of the 3 cost brûlée and one copy of the 6 cost big mom?

As not the person who did this guide, I disagree with the composition of the level 3 deck. But I've also never seriously played a yellow deck - Mike

It's somewhat similar to Hearthstone.
