Man I miss these breakdowns so much
Fr fr
Yup me too. When you hear and see the walkthrough its like a pop-up in your reflexes when you train. O yeah, do this.
I had the pleasure of facing this guy in ADCC Ontario earlier this year. Was a tough fight, as I'm only a 5'11 white belt, and he didn't even need to bend down to grab at my legs. I was lucky enough to get a somewhat of a "takedown" on him, but inevitably he won the match in the end. He was remarkably kind, and both him and his professor shook hands with me afterwards. Would definitely love to train, and eventually roll with him again especially after learning techniques from this video. Wonderful content as always Professor!
That guillotine setup from mount is brilliant, can't wait to try it.
Have really missed these narrated rolling videos, thanks coach!
Rolling footage by First 🤌
But risk losing the mount
Please do more Roll Narrations!!!
His best format, by far
You're not supposed to bend and hook your leg in Uchi Mata. That, the lack of unbalancing and not controlling the opponent as you're falling completely screws up the throw and any position advantage you could gain.
Especially love your roll narration videos. So much practical wisdom.
Need more of those ! Thanks for your knowledge and precious tips
These roll narrations are my absolute favourite. Please, if you can, post more of these videos. I learn so much and it’s so interesting to hear your mindset as it plays out.
Fantastic tips that I'll be using for certain. Thank you! Please keep the content coming!
This is the first breakdown video I’ve seen on the Tri-Star channel,
thoroughly enjoyed it, very insightful.
Love these breakdowns so much! So helpful! Many thanks!
So much fun to watch and hear your thoughts. Thank you
A whole bunch of gold nuggets in this video! Thank you Mr Zahabi 👍👍
Coach Zahabi, this was a beautiful and insight video as always. Oss! 🤙🏿

These are the best! Thanks coach!
Yes coach please make more of these. These are filled with gems. Merci
Amazing content as always, coach!
Great instructive video, thank you for your very interesting narration that helps us better appreciate and understand what's going on in what we're watching. Similar videos would be welcome !
These are the best! Missed the narration rolls coach, Thanks!
Beautiful narration, thank you, Firas!
"One day I'll wrestle a shorter guy" I would legit pay money to see you roll with Volk like this.
Would love to
@@CoachZahabi I'd love to see you roll with Khabib, now that'd be something
Stunning to watch! Thanks!
Very helpful. Please keep 'em coming!
great one. thx a lot to both pf you for sharing.
Thanks coach
your rolls narration are aweome
Great details. Great video!
I have trouble with taller partners so thanks for the tips😊
I just finished rolling with a high level judo guy starting out bjj and then i get this video recommended 😂
What was it like? How'd the roll go
@@CaleCoasthonestly I'm kinda new to BJJ as well so it was pretty even on the ground at least, I'm proud to say I didn't pull guard once! He took me down basically at will though 😅
This guy in the vid is the most basic c judo guy I've watched he was spamming a single judo attack. He definitely got his black belt from some mac dojo.
Very informative! More of theses please, thanks.
These are great! More of these roll narrations!
Thank you coach Zahabi,
Surgical execution and great breakdown on technique…
Great video, hoping to catch your next AMA
Love and miss these breakdowns !
this is so good thankyou ! Love seeing the B team top
Great Video brotha! thanks for all the knowledge
love this video being 6'8 myself learned that collar ties and foot sweeps are my best friend and its down falls thank you professor
Love this breakdowns
Thank you, great content as always. Oss!
This is Gold... some other videos narration couldn't see the detail ... sometimes small details really makes the difference.
Roll narrations were very missed, thanks firas
I love these breakdowns!
Need more of these coach .
That guillotine is so slick
I learned a lot from this video, thank you very much..
Please more. Great job!
Great video coach. Would love to see one against a shorter opponent as well 👍
Coming soon!
@@CoachZahabiInvite the Giant Slayer (Estevan Martinez, ZR Team NC) to come up and roll with you…That would be epic! 😅
The content of this channel is really top-tier, keep these rolling videos coming ! Also we can't really see what's happening with that crucifix submission at 12:30, it would be dope if you could do a video on it 👌
Breakdowns are back yassss
Excellent, thank you
I'm not sure what level of judo this guy is but he didn't seem to be stable. High level judokas are absolutely a nightmare to take down.
I'm sure coach just makes it looks easy. Most people probably couldn't get him down
I can definitely say this guy isn't black belt even if he is he got his belt from some fraud. The dude is spamming a single attack like c'mon man. It's not about coach ,the guy is just so bad I was dumbfounded watching his single judo uchimata spam
you fighting giants are my fav videos for real
This video is incredible
Awesome video 👏
Lots of valuable information in this rolling footage.
One of our guys at the gym loves to do the uchi mata and we were discussing recently how to counter it ...
And here you come along with the perfect answer summer sault with it or kosoto gake. Thank you. Do you have anymore videos about Stand Up and Uchi counters?
You can slip an uchi mata and throw them at the same time with their momentum. Look up uchi mata sukashi. You can also stuff it with a kind of knee shield action with your near side knee pointing down and shin in the crook of their leg. But I don’t know if there is an official term for that, might just be a competition variant of sukashi. You can attack right off the stuffed uchi mata too of course.
Thank you Firas 👍
Hey coach,
I just wanted to say that I followed your advice regarding gi & no gi. I take 5 classes a week and lift 5 times a week in the morning. I have 2 nogi classes and 3 gi classes. Its cool because even in the gi, there is a lot of overlap with my coaches jj to nogi (another great thing to analyze, which I got from you). And after the nogi classes I roll, so it's rolling 2x a week. The other week I rolled with some ppl that started at the same time as me, they had only been doing gi the whole time. We also all got our first stripe together. So we rolled and I SOMKED EVERYBODY. I didnt loose a single round!! I felt like Neo from the matrix, they were SO SLOW!! Your advice is pure gold. Thank you so much, inshalla.
Liebe Gruesse from Germany
You train a bunch, I'm not surprised you're improving faster than the average white belt lol
Perfect content!
Ty coach
This was great
love this content
A nice counter elbow escape.
Thanks and please more :)
Can't wait to watch gsp grappling match coming up
awesome, firas u the man
More of these breakdowns please
I live in Austin Texas and I hear you say it's very hot. Then I went to check the temperatures in Montreal this month....that looks quite pleasant to me! 😂
This is awesome
very interesting commentary
Firas, please do more man. Thank you.
Love the guillotine from mount. Beautiful technique. Masha Allah
Loved it, can you do more please.
More vids pls and ty!
Hi Firas, as always love the content man.
What software or APP do you use to make these playback analysis?
Keep up the good work 👍🤝
love this content type
What's your go-to after the pinch s grip? 5:50
Yow whatsup Gully! Diddn't know you were into bjj
what belt are you gully?
If you step your inside hip in front of theres, pull up on your underhook arm and down on your collar tie arm, you can ween them down to the mat fairly easily. You can also go to uchi mata or throwby to the back.
Bjj kulfi?
Coach please do some more striking breakdowns aswell!!
biggest takeaway for me was that in a crucifix you can choke with either hand. seems so obvious now but for years i always try to get a 1on1 kimura grip and choke with my leg side hand, but firas shot the opposite arm after relenguishing the control grip and the guys chin was right there to scoop under. genius
Bring these back!
Excellent
Coach Zahabi please please do one on Shorter, really stocky, strong opponents i find that they Are the hardest to Wrestle, or submit. Btw loved this video too.
MashaAllah it seems you have recovered from your back injury stay safe sir
Loved the video and the specifics analyzed.. . do you have any videos on armbar positions. I cant ever seem to catch when when rolling.
Do u practice with men or women
More content like this please
Salam, Y are an artist brother dahabi 💪 machallah
Finally !!!!
Thank you.
0:28 counter just blew my mind
Hey coach Zahabi, I dont know if you realize that your online youtube playlist titled, "Tristar Gym Rolls and Techniques", contains a video completely unrelated to Jiu Jitsu. The misplaced video is titled, "introduction to human behavioral biology" (one of my all time favorite youtube videos by the way). Just an FYI, coach.
Make more of these please
Professor do you think one day you can show an escape/counter to the baseball choke from knee on belly with the gi? That's one of the most difficult submissions that I have a hard time defending against.
That's inspiring
Coach Zahabi isnt only infinitely wise, hes got also elite level bjj
Ah when I saw the title, I was hoping you were able to train with Teddy Riner
MOARRRRR
more breakdowns plz !
I would have loved to see you fight in your prime. World champ no questions asked.
Please do more
Would be great to see that again when it's less slippery, to display some wrestling TD vs bigger opponents. Could you make a video about double leg/ Kosoto gake you showed to Mr. Hijab?
I rolled with the tall guy at my gym and got completely destroyed. I'm a newly white belt but he was strong as hell with great technique. You got to appreciate how the the coach Zahabi is playing with him like a ragdoll. I'm sold to BJJ
Commenting so you « definetly make more »
As someone from judo background i respect the hell out of that guy from grappling at 6'8, i cant even imagine trying to sprawl at that height. I imagine you guys were also going back and forth at likr 60-80%. I always like practicing from the advantage as well as the disadvantage.
