Sir, Ironfly banane ke liye CE and PE sell karna hota hai to wo future ke chart ko dhyan me rakhke karna hai spot chart ko dhyan me rakhna? Bcoz opstra me Ironfly strategy choose karte hai to wo by default future ki price leta hai. Means 18600 ka CE and PE sell ke liye leta hai

Thanks for the detailed explanation Reyansh and Pushkar. Back tested this strategy for 2023 and found that April month will end up in loss with 3 lakhs+ (36 lots) because of the one way moment of 2600 point in bank nifty. Are there any advanced adjustments that we can apply in last 3-4 days to reduce the loss to a minimum (may be something like less than 1 lakh).Appreciate your inputs.

In April vix 13 below ironfly is not good decision bro because low premium small range, vega impact is higher, generally "ironfly "for positional, straddle for intraday,work best when vix 18+ , below 18 strangle if uncertainty in market due some events than iron conder...
U can't lose 3+ lakhs, you didn't back test properly!! Make sure you make the adjustments correctly and check again!!

@@LearnToLearn-qg4cb I did and it worked two months in a row though I was in loss for a week or so eventually I closed the series in profit. Following month, small loss and then small profit. Net profit in this strategy. Due to election results this month I have avoided taking any position for now

If we keep this startegy in low vix enviornment , and in an hypothetical scenrio if vix increases drastically. would we not amplify our losses because of 3 sellings legs? as the premium will shoot up higher in 3 selling leg and we will only be compensated by 2 buying legs?
Low vix best for calender. High vix best for IRONFLY.

When vix above 18+ ironfly is best, to gain some more profit,and it requires 3lakhs capital per one lot, strangle for 18 below vix , above can done..it's depends on volatility if there is uncertainty in market then gapup GAPDOWN impact is big,so u can follow ironfly directly or iron conder for safe guard trade..

Thanks for showing how to trade in most volatile part of the year.
However, I have few things to ask:
1. You didn't tell when to install this kind of strategy, suppose now India Vix is extreme low (close to 11) and if market start fallingvix will increase. What IndiaVix is appropriate (pl provide a range of IndiaVix) is ok to deploy such strategy?
2. You did not tell what time we should get out of this trade. Suppose market fall again another 1000 point do you think in such case the adjustment will work?
