The drumming on And Justice For All, while undoubtedly some of Lars best, stands out partly due to lopsided production on the album. The drumming on South Of Heaven stands out because Dave is a powerhouse.

You play tight and on the money but your kit doesn't sound like Dave's. The snare sound is off.. just an observation. It just sounds kinda flat to me. It doesn't have that tight pingy sound that Dave has. Setting? BTW I enjoyed the skank beat tricks video thanks. I can't replicate what you do but I'm trying the trick you suggested to hit the ride on the way up. Thanks.
