In this video I look at how to calculate the synchronous speed of a 3-phase induction motor. 3-Phase Induction Motors Playlist: • 3-Phase Motors #Nsync #Motor #Speed
So can I run a 4 pole motor at 120 hz to get 3600 rpm? What would the pros and cons be in that scenario? I've been searching for this answer for years and can find any information on why people don't do this. I've got people saying it's all pros. I don't know if I believe that.
Thanks for the videos the are really helping me a lot
Thanks for the vid, really helped me,
Good explanation.
Can you show how you transposed the frequency formula? I'd really appreciate it.
Nice vid! Keep em up
Thanks, will do!

What is the winding difference in a 50Hz vs 200Hz motor?
Does load on the motor diminish that speed at all?
The speed we are calculating is the speed of the rotating magnetic field. Typically full load speed will be about 2-8% less than synchronous speed.
