god despite what I say sometimes the city of seattle itself, downtown and all, will always have such a pretty place in my heart. I grew up here and yes the people can be annoying and uptight but INSIDE the city is one of the most accepting free places I’ve been. you can do absolutely whatever you want say whatever and no one minds a bit cause that’s seattle. walk as you please cause at the end of the day seattle ppl know you basically always have the right of way. smoke a joint down the pier people will probably just smile at you. Roller skate around the space needle skateboard down the streets, walk around Chinatown ride on the Ferris wheel get food at pikes place etc etc everywhere in seattle is walkable / bikeable you got a days worth of fun right at your feet. Not to mention it’s culture, architecture, history, and simply how pretty of a city it is. Seattle really is lovely.
The city is beautiful, I liked everything I saw - streets, decorative lighting, architecture, shop windows, people on the move, vehicles in traffic. Contradictions are especially impressive - wealth, splendor, luxury versus poverty of people living in tents on the street, it's all part of life. The city attracts with its special energy and spirit, which cannot be resisted. I am thrilled with everything I have seen and experienced as if I am where I belong. Extraordinary impressions. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful experience. Best regards from Belgrade, Serbia. 👨✌🏻💜
I’m from Yakima, Washington. I go to Seattle and Portland often but feel like I’ll never be able to see Chicago, Milwaukee or Miami soon. But I have a lot of fun in Seattle and Portland! An before that I loved the locals basketball courts and bars. Just appreciate what’s there & wish for the rest 😎 lol
Seattle was always a hidden gem growing up here u cherished in knowing that. Seattleites know what I mean. Although I love the new infrastructure and gentrification. Being an OG can make u look back to going out to see live bands, Holiday baristas jobs downtown seattle before the infamous Starbucks. Walking down some blocks feeling like you were in NY. Weekend cabin getaways to Snoqualmie Pass snowmobiling crashing into trees after bonfire drinking Jagermeisters ( will never forget seeing the missed cliff next day) lol. Some of the most beautiful parks in USA. U knew you were living somewhere special and sometimes you just smile knowing that.
Absolutely. Visited for the first time last month and was blown away by the size and modernness of downtown. I live in Austin and I thought we were ahead of the curve but Seattle is another level
Love your driving videos especially in the Maryland and California area. But I'm absolutely enjoying this Seattle video. I hope so much to visit Seattle one day. thanks for the tour!
I watched the whole video before I realized the viaduct was gone! I lived in SEA for many years, the viaduct was just part of the landscape, no wonder I thought the waterfront looked cleaner than usual. Great video, next time take a drive out to West Seattle during sunset, best skyline shots from there.
Wow! Very cool. I lived, worked, went to school and had my first date with husband to be (29 years ago at the paramount!) all in the area you drive around. Moved away 25 years ago. Some of those places are still there. So much has changed, too. Thx for the video!
Thank you so much for the video. I wanted an updated view of the construction project across from the Camlin and you gave me the look. I will be there in September 2021, so now I know what to expect. You did an amazing video for people who have never been to Downtown Seattle. Thanks again for sharing.
I just flew back to San Diego after visiting my sister in Seattle and seeing the Olympic peninsula. Wow. Seattle is a highly underrated city that seems to get a lot of hate. I visited for a week and most people where friendly. I’m definitely trying to move there now.
Why #Seattle and not #Vancouver Canada or any other city in Canada that you liked and WHAT other city is like Seattle ?? what did you find better compared to the other places? Also is seattle as similar to Vancouver and what about student life, #Considering all points like students, universities, future, jobs, salaries, safety, family weather, cost , houses, friendly people , great life and a balance ? Where which city ??
Thanks for the drive. I'm planning on taking a cross-country train trip to Seattle from Philadelphia next month. This gives me a great glance on what to expect here
Great video. Yes, the waterfront is completely different without the Alaskan Way Viaduct. Its under major construction now, to rebuild the area into a park/street.
Everybody mentions that seattle is expensive (like other cities aren't lol) but they don't mention that min wage is 17 bucks an hour and you absolutely do not need a car
I remember the days back in ‘96-‘00 I frequent that place working in Alaska fishing industry. That’s the last time I’ve been there wow. Lots of memories.,still looks clean and beautiful as always.

And first time to try to speak English with the immigration. Spent a whole year in the States and came back.
What an odd comment. He's not local, he's there a short time and the onwards to the next location. You want him to search the internet for "Where can I film homeless people in X city" for every location he goes to? Then they can have their hopeless situation memorialized on video about driving around cities.
@@karmamuscle But that's the thing... they're literally everywhere. Huge tent cities. You can't miss them and yet they filmed this without a single view of them. The city also looks way cleaner in here than I've ever seen it. Makes me wonder if it's been slightly edited somehow.
If he would have went around the bus at 3/Pike and turned right he would have filmed a whole block of tents in what used to be the retail district.....
Why does absolutely everywhere look so much better than where I live?
