Hi Mark, do you and your family have any problems eating street food? Thanks.

James, thanks for the comment. To answer you question. Yes and No. So let me explain. Most streetfood in vietnam is safe in my opinion. however there are things that you and your family should stay away from. RAW SEAFOOD, or seafood or meats that are left out are a no no for us. Also do not eat any food that is not HOT! I find that there are higher chances of you getting food poisoning if the food has been sitting out. At least if they had to fry it again the heat would kill off most of the bacteria that would be giving you problems.
If this is the first time traveling to vietnam. NO NOT DRINK ANYTHING THAT IS NOT BOTTLED OR CANNED. IF THEY OFFER YOU TEA DO NOT ADD ICE. STAY AWAY FROM ICE AND WATER THAT IS NOT BOILED.
We try to look how they prepare the food before we eat it.
I hope that helps you. Please do your due diligence and look at how the food prep is handled. There will be some places that are not good to eat. You just have to look.
