So nice to hear the woodwinds. FAMU is always about the balance and it just feels good to listen to them. I love Southern but they need to take a few notes here. No disrespect.
I was never in the college band but I did attend FAMU and after what happened I didnt know if they could bounce back..but this almost puts tears in my eyes and takes me back to 08'.. Good Job guys!! 👌🏽🤧
To faculty and the Administration of Rattler nation please appreciate these young Folks. Please. From WHBH Thomasville ga serving North Florida and South Georgia a service of Gross broadcasting Thomasville Georgia Radio station.
WONDER if My Sister and my Brother in law are among the Crowd in Rattler Nation. Thanks from Down the road in nearby Monticello fla. Jefferson county home of the CHAMPS.
did anyone else notice that the man directing the band is off beat and out of sync with the band by the 0:48 mark? The drum major standing in the middle of the trumpets conducted perfect 4:4 time. The band director? not so much
This!! If you go listen to to 2010 videos and before that you can hear that aggressiveness in the playing. It's a strong balanced sound. Loud but not out of tune loud. Take the trombone fanfare alumni played a couple days ago. You can hear that sound I'm referring to.
All a matter of taste. I love Southern but hell, if you’re going to have clarinets, saxophones, flutes and piccolos, dammit let’s hear them. If you don’t want them or can’t appreciate their sound, go all brass like Ohio State. But to have them and constantly drown them out and never feature them just makes no sense to me. At times, I am really in the mood for the sheer power of Southern, and at times, I want to appreciate the full and balanced sound that FAMU constantly delivers. Two different styles, just a matter of what you prefer. FAMU went through a period of regrowth for sure, but rarely have I seen them not “ready” for anybody’s “heat”.
King BarrBayDo2 he was neither the first or last person to die from hazing there has been deaths from hazing from plenty of schools but you’re not holding that against them so shut yo ass up
Please look at old band film of 80s 90s then rate your performance. I was , as many others,. sad to see crooked lines, Knees low. More Famuly, need to be honest with you all.. Much work needed. You shouldn't feel comfortable with your performance.
Very Clean, Crisp, Stucatto Accents. Whole Round Brass, Note Uniformity immaculate.

King BarrBayDo2 it’s 2020. That was over 9 years ago. We’ve moved on from that and the "100" today is moving towards greater things. Let it go.
