    Hello Colin, I’ve been following you for a few months now and just getting into the basics of counting. I keep having a problem when I have a hand that is made up of multiple cards and was wondering if I just continue using deviations and basic strategy or if I change it up when you have more than two cards, for example a soft 18 (A,7) is a hit against a dealer 10 but if I had a soft 14 (A,3) and pull a 4 (A,3,4) it’s still technically a soft 18 and is a hit correct?

    I have no issues having an edge. As a Veteran I get free play at various Casinos(some offers better than others) and some Casinos will upgrade me to the next tier level. In 2018 at one of my local casinos my I had a Net gain of about $500. I had to cover my bet which was only a $1 on the slots and this was within a 3 month period.
    I had class at my local VA and I noticed I had about 15 to 20 minutes of extra time before my class so I would go to my casino put a $1 in the slot. If I won I'd deposit my winnings in the bank if I lost, not big deal. I'm in it for the long term.
    Non-Casino offers, is on Veteran's Day I get free meals at local restaurants. I would start my my day around 7:30 a.m. and I'll usually finish about dinner time around 8:30 9 p.m.
    Usually the following week Golden Corral has it's Veteran appreciation starting at 5 p.m. we usually get seated around 5:30 to 6p. I'll usually eat for about 2.5 hours.
    No issues here for gaining an advantage of offers.

Sports betting has opened up venues where the everyday person can win. Its not so lopsided. Plus sports betting u can go about ur day. Perhaps you need to explore new markets instead of trying to squeeze money from a dried up angle.

    The problem isn't that Colin and this material isn't right; It's that they fail to strategize properly just like the MIT students do.
    Casinos do not 'fear' AP players no more than they fear any other gambler. It's just a business transaction, no more no less. An all you can eat buffet that charges a flat price doesn't 'fear' a competitive eater but will lose money if that eater doesn't pay for another full entry price every 2 hours.
    Trying to take $10,000+ a day from the casino, is bad for business. Be an AP player and be cool with earning $100-500 a day and keep it moving. I don't understand why this isn't preached enough.

    • @ironmike-lb8pi
      @ironmike-lb8pi 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's the wildest way of looking at this advantage players will be identifed by local casinos it's only a matter of time so an Ap is suppose to travel to other states to play to hopefully make 500 a day your ignoring how advantage play actually works and living in a dream land. Catching an Ap has very little to do with how much money your playing with. And in order to even make that you still have to raise bets at certain points during a session and you will be identifed by the casino often it only takes one bet that could be a red flag for instance your playing 25 a hand all night try raising that bet watch what happens. People have tried low stakes Ap forever it fails time and time again the big scores are the single only way to play try it yourself

    • @tmasst07
      @tmasst07 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@ironmike-lb8pi Correct and Incorrect on a few things my friend. I provided a length reply so I'm not just giving opinions but facts and actual experience. Let's review:
      I know how AP works and will share for our readers/those that don't watch Colin or other AP videos: You maximize your bet opportunities when the 'play' is mathematically in your favor and minimize/don't play when it's not. Realistically, this only works on BJ and Baccarat, but the philosophy can be applied to any game or area of life (Experienced or 'Advantage' Fisherman usually go with the movement of the Earth's tide as that's what moves the bait fish bringing in the targeted fish).
      You're Correct: AP identifying has nothing to do with your bankroll or buying in amount
      You're Correct: You do have to raise your bet at times to take advantage of situations
      You're Incorrect: you don't have to have huge scores to play it and be profitable.
      As a player I have had conversations with Pit Supervisors (those who stay within a section of table play) and Pit Bosses (shift mgrs. w/ the final say in conversation with Security and Asset Protection) across multiple casino brands and it's the same with every casino: A winning player, AP or not, is okay; A greedy player is not.
      Casinos KNOW they have to pay out otherwise no one (degenerate gamblers, AP players and thrill seekers alike) would never play. Paying out is the cost of business and rightfully so in this line of entertainment.
      How much and how often to certain individuals is where the red flags are raised. The real low stakes AP players are left alone and keep playing forever because 1. They have proper bank roll mgmt. 2. They do not whale continuously the wagers when the count/roll/spin whatever is working for them. You have to have the discipline to leave at a target amount.
      AP teaches to keep pushing when the count is in your favor an play at your max bet units to increase the odds of positive EV and at times use deviation from normal play, but you have to disregard that information in favor of the long term game. Remember, Colin, MIT and all the rest of the folks got backed off because of DRASTIC bet swings, deviation and collection. That's bad for the casino's business. $100-500 a day/week is part of the scripted anticipated expense used for Accounting and Bonuses. $1000+ isn't (and that's what those aforementioned individuals were doing and would continue to do if unchecked; read their books and watch their movies. That's how those Bankrolls got so big in such a short amount of time (under 2 years)). Most of them quit the 9-5 to pursue this full time and put their long term play at risk doing so.
      AP players only travel because they get caught. If you didn't get caught and identified, you wouldn't travel. Screaming this part loudly: ADVANTAGE PLAYERS ARE ONLY A PROBLEM WHEN THEY ARE GREEDY WITH THE ADVANTAGE!
      Consider the Slot jackpot payouts: always starting at $1200 and up to on certain machines easily at 6 or 7 figures depending on the bet size and wager denomination ($.01-$100). Those never go off at once and when the big ones do, they put a dent in that weeks profits. On higher traffic days, they pay more and earn more, yet you never get 'backed off' from them? Why? because the Casino maintains it's profitability even though they have to payout (yes slots don't compare to an AP game like BJ/Bac but the principle holds true; if it didn't slots wouldn't be on the floor).
      I know that was long and I admire anyone with the discipline to read all of that but it's the truth. You don't need to beat the casino anymore than you need to beat a restaurant or retail store. Take advantage wisely and play the long term game: Be a master at your bank roll and growth strategy, don't be greedy, use your comped card and have fun!
      Remember: for a traditional work week (5 days) and 48 week calendar year over the course of a decade, $100-500 is $240K-1.2 million dollars. All because you stayed disciplined and altered your AP Strategy
      Happy Gaming!

I can understand the ignorance but don't be arrogant and stupid. you're lack of proof or evidence DOES NOT mean it doesn't happening or is not happening.
      It's not a 'thought', theory or hypothesis. I've got the experience and bankroll to prove it. I'm beyond luck cause I've got multiple weeks and months with positive profit. yes you can, you just need to be disciplined and smart. Use math AND cunning; math AND wisdom. AP players like yourself get stuck on the math and forget the rest of the profitable strategy
      Open your mind to a different way and get off of that one way track that leads you to being backed off and banished. That type of thinking is EXACTLY WHY you big scorers/ big betters never make it long term.
