I can only seem to find live versions where the guys are obviously exhausted. I mean, this was great but it was still an encore. I can only imagine how amazing they are when they first get out on stage.

This song speaks so deeply about gun violence in america and how he wishes he could be there and know why the kid did it, and wishing he could understand. then he explains the story behind the shooter and the mental torment the shooter experienced. it makes us all think deeper about these events and have compassion for others, and to understand that gun violence affects so many people. it even speaks to deeper rooted issues of religious guilt and suicide. this story touches on all those affected by the shooting like the mother too. but it even gives the perspective of the shooter and his own pain. it empowers us to fight against gun violence and to care for others, stepping in to help them before they may do something violent. it opens the topic for discussion. it’s just such a beautiful song.

I discovered this band after I saw a gif on Tumblr made from this video when he was screaming "Can I still get into heaven if I kill myself?" and I had to find out who they were and what the song was right away.
So so good. His voice is transcending. The words are powerful. La dispute is in many ways beautiful. This should be the music that breaks charts, that people talk about and change lives. Not the crap we have made popular using sex drugs and violence as a cool everyday hymn. I listen to everything including the "popular" music. Some is good, some is brainwashing and completely rubbish. But music should be something that touches the part of your soul that yearns for change, and hope and encourages you to make a difference, in the way of seeing what is truely needed in one's life. And what we should do for others and how our actions have cause and effect. Bless the people out there who are trying to change the world, even if you start small, you can do great things. To everyone who believes they are invisible or stuck in a broken society, I see you, and not only do you matter, but you mean a great deal to me. And through music I pray we can get through, help others. And are blessed. In the long run, Life is short. The truth is heavy, but I am not blinded from it. Love always, Hope.

Edward Benz too. I see everything. King Park and Edward Benz are songs I connect with to a degree. I work and have worked in neighborhoods where situations like the King Park shooting are pretty normal, and my ex is very severely mentally ill and also schizophrenic. The fact he hasn't successfully done anything like the Edward Benz story is absolutely miraculous. He's tried repeatedly though. Wildlife is so fucking good. One of my top records ever.
